If I remember correctly, I read in an article that an exec in charge of spotify playlists really liked 6lack's song PRBLMS, and put it at the top of a lot of playlist like "new artist, discovery, rap" etc. That's how he blew up. It's also how the industry really understood the new parameters of the game and how being in a playlist can make or break a hit.

Chris Brown has a couple great RnB tracks that will be never ever be classics because of all the unnecessary cussing..
