I think another interesting trend is that since 1999, no regular-season MVP has won the SB. 9 have made it, and they are only 25-22 overall in the postseason.
MVP usually goes to the QB who puts up the best #s, but good numbers may also be a sign that the team is way too dependent on that player. Or at least that having the "best" QB in any given year normally isn't enough for a SB.

You're right, Russ was in his 2nd year but he was not playing at a HOF at that time. That was LOB and them. It doesn't really matter if you're a future HOF.
Eli easily gets into the HOF because of winning 2 SBs vs Brady. Eli really shouldn't be put in the HOF and def should not be called a HOF type QB.

I hear what you’re trying to say but more often than not you need great QB play to even be in that position and to win it. If Flacco played like his normal self then Baltimore doesn’t win. Same for Eli in the second SB. Those guys overachieved. Even Peyton had to be great for one half against New England in the AFCCG. No team should be overly reliant on anything but if you have to rely on one thing while you work on everything else, QB is the best place to start and they can cover up holes and all teams have holes. And it boils down to key moments where each unit has to be good enough to do its job. Yesterday, the Packers offense didn’t do its job in key moments while the other units did and the QB is the head of that. If the Bucs lose yesterday then Brady would rightfully be blamed even minus without those INTs because he should have scored on those drives.

Brady is the GOAT...Rodgers is an amazing quarterback but, people need to give it up. Rodgers had three turnovers, he could've converted those and changed the game. He didn't. Also, you could tell from their body language yesterday. The Bucs looked completely in control, like the game was a formality before they could go to the Superbowl whereas Green Bay was just hoping it wasn't a blow out. At least that was how I perceived it watching them. That likely played into the interceptions as Brady was flinging the ball without a care in the world and Rodgers had no errors but, was ultimately playing not to lose (should've went for the touchdown ).

We know he gonna get in over volume numbers but most of his career he was not good, def not elite.

Aaron Rodgers is legitimately one of the most talented quarterbacks EVER!!!

But after yesterday’s lost EVERYONE either wants him to leave, are blaming the coach, or the organization for their lost yesterday.

I just don’t think the offense or defense played with enough heart to pull it off. The Bucs defense played lights out to me.

When Aaron wins everyone was screaming how he’s the real GOAT, the packers won’t be beat, etc. but now it’s oh Aaron should’ve had “Justin Jefferson” or “Patrick Queen”

Somebody said the Brady difference is that he knows how to take a calculated risk, argue with the coach on certain play calls, etc. I agree, Brady's mentality is what has benefited him.
