I think it has to do with the injuries, lack of balance talent wise (Thanks kd) resting march madness and overall the shifting to mobile where everyone watches online, dont think it'll be a long term prob they can't solve

Don't know how the rest of you 30+ year old heads feel, but I'm about checked out from the NBA period.

I'm pretty much at the "wake me up when the playoffs start" point. :yeshrug:

This is coming from a guy who used to record games on to tape and cop SLAM magazine every month:wow:

All of the players I grew up watching are gon, 5 years from now when Bron, Melo, Wade and a handful of other guys my own age are retired I don't think ill be watching at all anymore. Maybe just the Finals, but I won't really CARE or have any emotional investment in it.

I'm just 29 but the past couple seasons find it hard to watch a whole regular season game. I'm tuned in come playoff time but it makes me feel a certain way being such a huge fan growing up. Only watching some of the great players play 10-20 games a year. Can I really say I saw some of these guys career? Youknowwhatimsayin?

The coverage on ABC is terrible compared to ESPN. You'd think they'd do better because of Disney but these a$$holes went straight to an infomercial after the game :scust:

They wanted ppl to jump immediately over to ESPN tho so :manny:
if it wasn't for ESPN, ABC wouldn't wanna carry the games at all.

Having Saturday night basketball is just stupid

Of course your ratings going to be shyt when u have us west coast people and people in mountain time zones not watching no basketball at 5 or 6 pm on Saturday.

Have 2 solid sunday afternoon games like spurs vs Cavs followed by golden state vs houston and ratings will be good

I'm in the same age range and I find the league is now and, in recent years, has been far more interesting now than it ever was when the Bulls and Lakers dynasties were choking everybody out every year. :yeshrug:

Regular season matchups just aren't that compelling until deep in the regular season

Even when a matchup appears good on paper, players are resting, injured, etc

The Warriors aren't shiny and new anymore. NBA needs stories - it was Heat / Cavs / Warriors for a while. All of those are played out and haven't been replaced.

All they need is the NBA on NBC theme, scoreboard, and Marv Albert
Marv is Turner so that's not happening.

They'd change the scoreboard so the old one is gone

Unless you're willing to pay Tesh six figures per use of the song, you're not getting the song back.

The cast of the Voice will make a new song before you'd ever hear Roundball Rock again
