ABC's NBA ratings at an all time low

NBA/ESPN/ABC fukked up by having the playoff games on ESPN. ABC should have double headers when possible on weekends. people are cutting cable so put more games on broadcast. Disney should have called the shot on that one. neither network is showing anything important on saturday or sunday until the playoffs get booted for the nfl draft

They do get paid tho...ratings are circular,once they figure out how to count IPL viewers it will even out...ratings have dipped before much lower than they currently are and yet the last contract was the largest ever...it's not going to burst..

That happens to be where a large majority of the black demographic and young folks starting out on their own (which makes up a large percentage of NBA viewership) is. I just got rid of that shyt as well. A lot of folks will be watching the playoffs on illegal streams. No way to account for those numbers.

MLB already has a deal streaming live games on Twitter, NFL did the same with twitter last year for thursday night games and they're doing those on Amazon Prime this season.

Funny you mention youtube, because during the season you'll see dudes streaming live games on there and having a cool 1-2k people watching before the NBA shuts it down. I don't know if they'll ever completely abandon cable like TNT/ESPN, but they're definitely gonna work out something with a streaming service like Sling, PSVue, AmazonPrime, etc..
