Academic Black people walk a thin line when addressing with White supremacy

What the fukk are you talking about? Ignorance is bliss huh? here's what we have done in one year alone in Illinois:

1)Got the community to protest the building of another prison near the black area of Champiagn, IL so the legislation did not pass and the the money is now into building a school to be opened at the end of next year

2)a white cop shot a killed a 14 year old and we got the community organized, made so much fukking noise that the cop was arrested and fired; the family is getting a settlement and we got one of the professors listed above to actually give a COURSE on race relations to all newly hired cops in the STATE OF ILLINOIS.

3)We have opened a rec center that was not being utilized, so in effect, we have programs for the neighborhood kids to participate in after school now

4)We pushed for a black history component to be taught in elementary schools in ALL SUBJECTS and we are writing the curriculum as we speak and the pilot program starts this Fall

5)We got the Medical Center in the city to change its legislation in regards to blood pressure testing and other blood tests for poor people, which are mostly black; they will give free testing on certain weekends for the people without health insurance.

That's all this past year and we got more planned. Everyone I listed played a part in that and we are doing other things in other states...so instead of acting like a bytch and saying nobody is doing anything in academia, you need to get your ass up and join us or any community that is doing everything they can to help the oppressed people anywhere.

These nikkas with PhDs in 2014, how come they so passive? How come they aren't supporting documentaries/movies/lectures addressing White supremacy period? They always come out in droves to debunk but for these nikkas that are so intelligent and academically accomplished they seem to be awful quiet about any element of White supremacy.

That's what we do. In fact, there are numerous articles discussing how black academics get marginalized in the academy because they focus on black issues and white supremacy.

Any initiatives for black businesses for your group? Bringing money to the table would a lot of issues those people face.

Say what you want about Michael Eric Dyson being an attention whore, he explicitly addresses white supremacy on international platforms. Boyce Watkins, Melissa Harris-Perry, and Marc Lamont Hill are also great black intellectuals that don't shy away from speaking the unadulterated truth.

Honestly, I could do with less talking about white supremacy by black academics. Use that intelligence to create tangible, actionable plans for black enterprise in terms of black business, black job creation and black infrastructure.

If a professor is not bringing it back to some level of autonomy for black people, then I'm not impressed.

The ills that black people face are tied to black people being at the whim of society on an economic level, which affects our politics, our education, our family life and even our policing. If black people had a strong economic base where we were able to feed, clothe, educate, employ and protect black people independently, then we wouldn't need as many community centers and such.

Get to the money or get out the way
