I'm gonna use my student email and sign up for Acorn. Since it'll be free for 4 years
but is any one platform better than the other? e.g stash or robinhood?
Ditto, same ish same conceptThey are work basically the same.
Same fee structures, etc.
Almost 2 weeks in and I really like it. Good way to save and get a little on top. Definitely learning a lot, too. I'm 100 bucks in on aggressive. I said screw the government bonds.

For real? I might have to check for this.
The app essentially automatically rounds up any purchase you make to the nearest dollar and invests the delta to get there.
In other words, if you buy a pack of extra small rubbers for $7.50, Acorns will pull $0.50 from your linked bank account to round up to $8.00. It takes that $0.50 and invests in ETFs according to your risk profile.
You can also setup recurring investments.
I have a $5 daily recurring investment on top of the roundups. I have a few thousand dollars in my Acorns account. Earning a lot of dividends, which get reinvested.

Is this similar to the betterment app?
