I don’t think he’s worried about going to the Oscars anymore. I believe his mainstream movies when they actually release will get a bounce because I really think folks are pulling for him. You are going to start hearing that he’s being punished too harshly after a few years because folks hate the Academy like they hate Congress.

Even though his acting career was likely winding down, he's getting heavier into producing. Hard to build up a name for your production company when the face of the company can't attend any Academy affiliated events to campaign, or at minimum, just network.
