Been using Adblock for at least 10+ years on desktop. I hate watching YT on my phone and tv tho because them ads something else.

I never use the regular Youtube app on my phone.

Used "Youtube Vanced" but it recently got shut down so im on "ClearTube" now.

Not as good and missing some stuff but still no ads

Be careful those who're still using adblockers like I am because YouTube did a stealth update on their TOS letting people know that using adblockers is a violation now and if you don't whitelist/allowlist or turn off your adblocker, they'll prevent you from watching videos so long as you're logged into your account.

This is a battle that YouTube really won't gain anything from because Twitch tried this for the past few years apparently and they gave up, but YouTube/Google is operating on full blown spite.

i hit my 3 and they weren't playing

i just caved for now, i don't even have a problem with getting youtube premium, i had it before it has its value, but it's still annoying. pop up blockers aren't the reason their revenue is down.

month to month hopefully people come up with a good work around. i just don't feel like jumping from browser to browser at the moment.


one of the number 1 things i use youtube for is rain/waves crashing ASMR type videos for sleep, the fukk i look like wanting an advertisement in the middle of that?

if they force everyone to watch ads, yes revenue will go up a bit, but that's not gonna fix the real problem they have, it's a band-aid

If you're using uBlock Origin, go to filter list, purge all caches and update now. People have mention that it helped them on being able to watch videos again.
