new blood generally and I think fans wanna see these teams that have been loading up on young talent finally showing and proving whether it was worth it or not

But aren't we seeing new blood right now though?

Look at the teams that made it to the 2nd round: Golden State, Utah, San Antonio, Houston, Boston, Washington, Cleveland, Toronto

3 years ago at this time what were they doing? Golden State, Houston & Toronto were 1st round exits; Utah, Boston & Cleveland were lottery teams. Washington was making their first playoff appearance after missing for 5 or 6 straight years. And obviously the Spurs are the Spurs.

Make the playoffs a best of 3.

It wouldn't guarentee the best team always wins the series but it would make the playoffs wayyy more entertaining and every game would be must see no matter what.

The ratings increase (if there was one) wouldn't come close to making up for the loss of more than 50% of the schedule.

i'm not saying it would make the league more money, i'm saying it would make it more unpredictable and entertaining.

and who knows what kind of effect it would have on the popularity on the league.

B-B-But Parity!
there isn't much parity in the AFC at all. However, the nature of football allows you to believe that if shyt goes right, that team at the top could be yours (unless you're in the AFC East), so you can enter a season somewhat optimistic. Basketball just doesn't allow that kind of hope

But in the NFL you only have a chance if you have a Top QB, A decent but clutch QB, or an all-time defense with a decent to good running game at least.

Thank LeBron for that.

Showtime lakers, bird's Celtics, arguably the bad boys, Chicago, Shaq and Kobe, Allen, pierce, and Garnett, Duncan and Robinson (for 1999 anyway). The league has always been this way. Teams like the 1994 and 1995 rockets, the 2004 pistons, the 2011 mavericks, and arguably the 2015 warriors depending on how someone might feel about if Thompson is a superstar are the exception. Always gotta have multiple guys who can carry a heavy load :yeshrug:

You right....but most of those teams formed organically. LeBron started the players building their own superteam shyt. I'm not complaining because we have one now due to him starting the trend but he started it.
