Tom Brady was in 7 super bowls in 15 years & won 5 :sas2:

Thank you, I mentioned this in another thread bytching about the NBA. Him and Peyton combined for 11 SBs in those 15 years...winning 7. AFC and in turn the league went through these two for the last decade and a half and no one ever bytched about parity or competitive balance or predictability. No one (especially NFL fans) shat on the NFL over it. They just worked themselves into a frenzy looking forward to Manning/Brady Pt 107.

Only way to solve it would be like cut out 15 teams or something wild

Way too much a superstar league, 5 players on the field of play

But reality is NFL even ain't that parity fueled

Look at the afc, for the last 15 years it's been like Brady Ben or Manning in the Super Bowl

Chiefs just appeared in 4 out of 5 Super Bowls, winning 3 ... while it is looking pretty hard to pull off in the NBA now.
:jbhmm:

After what was basically the Patriots era

Barring injuries and organizational incompetence the Chiefs have a chance to make at least 3 Superbowls in the next 10 years

NFL currently doesn't have parity and hasn't had it since the 2000s. Right now, the Chiefs are talking about three-peat and the GOAT went to seven straight AFC title games back in the 2010s with the Patriots. NFL still has the randomness of a team like the Rams not even being considered a title contender only to win the SB, but in the 2020s, KC was in 4 of the 5 SBs played and won three of them. The NBA, ironically, has been having parity when it comes to championships in the 2020s, likely this year included, which has not seen since the 70s,

The past 4-5 NBA champions have been one and done'ers.

The Bucks and Nuggets were projected by many to have multiple titles after winning their prospective championships. Hasn't been the case so far (assuming the Wolves take the Nuggets out).

There's not enough medium to high quality talent entering the NBA on a yearly basis like there is in the NFL. You can find All-Pro, Pro Bowl, and quality depth players in nearly every round of the NFL draft. That's not happening in the NBA where you might have 5 guys a year who matter. And unless you win the lottery, in most cases your team can't improve through the draft in the NBA.

Personally I think a lot of that is coaching based though. AAU system has been fukking up American ballers for years, now we got fake high schools and NIL on top of that. Not to mention questionable coaching in college. Whereas with football there are specific colleges that manufacture specific skills. Iowa and tight ends, Wisconsin/Michigan/Notre Dame with o-lineman, LSU with receivers, etc. I really think we need a complete overhaul of US basketball from middle school to college levels.

It’s hard to say if what we’re seeing is “parity” or simply younger teams are stepping up and older star led teams are falling back so no dominant franchise has established themselves. Basically the lack of a clear top 5 players year in, year out in the NBA means anyone can win for the moment. 3 years from now we might be right back in the middle of a dynasty.

the nfl's greatest strength has been it's formatting. the NFL feels like parity because so much crazy shyt is happening on one scheduled day each week (for the most part). my biggest curiousity with where the league is headed is how many games they can add to the week before it impacts what makes sundays such a special part of their brand.
