NFL parity is based around irregular schedules and a knockout playoff system

An NBA team can lose game 1 and win in 5. An NFL team loses game 1 and that's it
Basically.

Not suggesting they should do this but just imagine if they made one adjustment in the NBA playoffs where instead of best of 7, every round was a best of 5. The first round may stay fairly the same (like it was back when it was best of 5) but come the 2nd round and on... pure fukkery.

LeBron is probably the worst comparison to use out of any superstar lol. That dude hasn't gotten superstar calls in YEARS. You coulda used Jordan, Curry, Nash, someone that made alot more sense than LeBron

You can't be serious :mjlol:

This dude spent the entire detriot series shoving and running over Stanley Johnson and I think he got called for 1 or 2 offensive fouls:mjlol:

Dude can't dribble longer than 5 seconds without traveling...:mjlol:

if the nba got rid of max salaries and had a hard cap you'd see more parity

if they really wanted parity they'd do this

they know that some stupid gm would give lebron 80 mil a year out of a 100 mil hardcap so they have to protect these guys from themselves

In the NFL people always say Brees, Brady, Rodgers always get "superstar calls"....

The problem is there is no rule that says you can't hit Brady or Rodgers or Brees...matter fact all of these dudes in their career have played behind some terrible lines that got them hurt...

Unlike in the nba where say a superstar player like 5678 can drive to the rim 10 times and shoot freethrows on 6 of them...

If you sack an NFL QB regardless of who he is 10 times are you getting 6 of them taken away for some random reason?

Manning has always been a media darling and dude spent all year getting smashed to pieces...

That game against kansas city early in the year when Charles fumbled the ball...manning was getting drilled and damn near every pass attempt...

How does NFL have parity when in last 15 years only Brady, Manning, Big Ben & Flacco have made SB from. AFC

Yup, or soccer in Europe. It seems like the same super teams win titles except for the every now and then cinderella story like Leicaster. In the NFL you aren't winning shyt without either or an elite defense or an elite QB.

Wade County
actually they do, its not uncommon for a team that wins less then 6 games one year then takes that huge jump next year

the same playoff teams rarely repeat
They strategically move the strength of schedule so the worst teams have the easiest schedules, in order to trick fans into thinking they have a shot when they don't. It's fake parity. At least the NBA embraces greatness over fake hope.

This. Most teams are bad every year and unless you have a superstar quarterback then you haven't got a chance anyway. The NFL has only had the illusion of parity. The Giants, Patriots, 49ers, steelers, and Cowboys have won a combined 24 of the 50 Super Bowls, and many have met each other in the conference championship game or super bowl a ton. The Giants and pats met in 2 Super Bowls, the 49ers and Cowboys have played in I think 4 NFC championship games, the Giants and 49ers have met in 2-3, Pittsburgh and New England have met in 2 afc title games, and Dallas and Pittsburgh have met in 3 Super Bowls. The league has never actually had parity, just an illusion of it and their old format of just playing on 1-2 days out of the week to keep fans hooked.

itll never be like football or baseball, but they can make it a lil less top heavy. no max contracts, and have a hard cap. if a team wants to spend 80% of its cap on lebron james, let them.

Why should parity be the NBA's goal? Because the NFL loves to honeydikk fans into thinking their team has a shot every year, just so they can rip them off? fukk parity. I like to watch greatness.

And for the most part the best teams win the NBA Championship. The same can't be said for any other team sport in America.

The NFL is one big clusterfukk guessing game the whole time that hypes most idiot fans into thinking they have a shot when they clearly don't.

:yeshrug:
:dead: At "honeydikk"
