Why wouldn't you want the best teams competing for the championship?
Teams with losing records through 82 damn games don't derserve to be in the playoffs

I think it would diminish the playoff race somewhat, having two divisions helps insure there are always several teams, in two conferences, fighting for 7, 8 seeds

If the East would just catch up somewhat, the point would be moot anyhow

As I said before, the NBA has to make choice

Either 82 game regular season or get rid of the 1st round

It can't be both and expect interest in your sports to grow

NBA will never do this... there are all about that bottom line...if anything considering the fact that no team in NBA history has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit i'd like to see them enact a skunk rule and call thr series over at that point..

I doubt it.

If Memphis and New Orleans go East, that would mean 2 eastern teams go west. That shyt aint happening breh. Only thing I can see if maybe eliminating east vs west and go with something like the NFL Uses (American vs National) conferences.

Maybe do 2 divisions per conference.

National Conference East/West Divisions & American Conference East/West Divisions

Align the divisions that way.
