I just think it's funny they changed the All star format in an attempt to make it more competitive and therefore more entertaining to fans while simultaneously turning the regular season in the All star game.

NBA regular season is big among us but come the weekend it gets lost among the football.All star Game is during a time when Super Bowl is over with and not much else is going on.NBA wants it to stand out come Christmas no one will be talking about high scoring .

Breh the league is shown in over 200 countries. Basketball is the 2nd biggest global sport in the world behind soccer. The NBA is the biggest, richest, and most powerful basketball league on the face of the earth. Their earnings have skyrocketed over the past decade. Now they're going pro-scoring to try to garnish even more appeal. The old baseball adage was "chicks dig the long ball"= scoring. While baseball turned their backs on their stars and shut their shyt down the NFL and NBA embraced it and flourished. You sound like a robot/Spock on some "this is illogical" type shyt. Just put two and two together.

More home runs get hit now than ever before The home run in of itself isn't the problem. It's just now that overly rely on it as a main source of generating offense.

You gotta have some defense. I knew this would happen once they changed the clock to move down to 14 seconds.

I'm not saying I want those 81-75 games back, but its basically become a glorified all star game at this point, and it gets boring seeing guys just chuck 3s all game. Games were more entertaining when there would be defensive stops, the other team adjusts, and the threes would mean something huge.

I'm sure the average will lower come playoff time, but oh well the league will always change so only thing to do is accept it.
