Breh I understand about not giving up on our stance but staying home isn't really an option this time, too much at stake

Man they say that every election

We in a position where we have to demand what is owed or keep being disrespected. It's now or never & we can't let up

Reparation is not going to be a check, it be something like free nursing school, or no federal tax from your check. Low interest loans, and true affirmative action on hiring

i feel thats what it NEEDS to be... jus a check for people to go buy gucci or some fukking lace fronts .. Nah..

we need ZERO interest business loans.. we need programs that will PAY for college we need programs that will PAY for some technical training .. shyt thats going to EXTEND beyond a 5000 check.. .

just my .02 cents :obama:

Is there anyone on this board that understands how the government works...:pachaha:

How do you have a serious agenda for reparations when you don't understand that 1. That a bill for reparations would need to pass Congress and 2. You would either need to make sure the President doesn't veto the bill or else you would need to have enough votes in Congress to override the Veto?:jbhmm:

It is not the constituency's job to understand or figure out the logistics of getting shyt done. It is the constituency's job to say what they want and for the politicians to figure it out, that's what politicians get paid to do.

People really let politicians and supporters of politician pimp them out of what is right by trying to focus on how to get shyt done.

Nobody else in the world got this political culture of always trying to do the politicians job for them for nothing.

Why should anybody who is not a lobbyist or an activist or politician care about how things work? When you buy the newest cellphone, do you know how that works? Do you know the science behind touchscreen or the Android Assistant or the OS? No, you just want it to work.

People sat for 8 years listening to Obama's excuses for why he didn't do anything that he said he was gonna do in the Hope campaign and the main argument which wasn't an argument at all:

"You just don't understand how things work, you gotta understand and be patient."

That's not the job of the constituency. Our job as non-politicians is to put pressure on the government, not cape for politicians failure to get things done. Not to sit here and understand every intricate detail of how Congress works. That's not our job.

If you wanna behind over backwards and get fukked by politicians who are multi-millionaires and getting free healthcare and making connections across every industry so their kids can be wealthy and work on daytime TV, then be my guest, but for the rest of us, we gonna say what we want and say continue to say what we want and hand out consequences if we do not get it.

You do know the word reparations turns off white voters right? If we want a Dem to win they're better off waiting to address it till after elected. But y'all like to destroy your own chances and give Trump another easy victory

You are making a big assumption that ADOS is intending for Democrats to get elected.... As opposed to just suppressing the Black vote by telling you none of the candidates are worth your time... Which.... gives the win to the Republicans.

Im sure Im wrong about that though, and that any moment ADOS will rally behind a Democratic candidate that has a chance to win instead of attacking every Democrat that has a chance to win. :sas2:

That's true but after Obama the Democrats realize how important the black vote is and the turnout. Why do you think they rushed to find an ethnic candidate like Kamala Harris. They trying to keep that same energy. Before Obama blacks werent really voting heavy like that.

This may get me some heat, but fukk it. Bernie knows that he can't say they word reparations because it will turn off White voters.

You have a point. The subject of reparations for Dems is a heluva catch 22 scenario. A lot of Black pundits recognize this too which is why they're not jumping on board enthusiastically. They view the ADOS crowd as willing to cut their own nose to spite their face. They may not be entirely wrong either considering how they view Trump as a threat. It's going to be interesting to see whether or not ADOS will actually be a thing the closer we get to 2020. Right now it is NOT a thing other than among certain circles via social media like here or Twitter. The average Black voter has not a clue what ADOS is, and that's what Democrats and established Black pundits are banking on.

Cuz if ADOS did become a thing with enough Black people, the question to consider would be whether the Black vote would be sufficient enough to offset the likely white backlash vote against items such as reparations. There's the very real possibility there wouldn't be a strong enough Black vote and it would be political suicide for a DNC candidate in a national election to embrace ADOS and reparations too enthusiastically. Might be better for a Dem to simply pay lip service to pacify what they view as the more extreme Negros of the party. I also wouldn't underestimate how many so called liberals would either stay home or vote third party if ADOS became a thing. In the same way we look at the LGBTQ crowd fighting for their interests and getting attention, same with the Latino crowd and illegal immigration, or white women via feminism, etc., and our response as Black folks is that the Dems are going too far or not paying us enough attention.........I can see white liberals doing the same in kind in response to ADOS. Such is the problem via identity politics and a party trying to appease everyone.

For the record I don't care one way or the other as it's all one big pipe dream to me, but before someone accuses me of whatever. Just musing.

POST LIKE THIS IS PARTLY WHY WE'RE IN THE POSITION
WE'RE CURRENTLY IN.

NEGROS CAN NEVER GET ON CODE FOR shyt.

Breh most white people off top ain't supporting no candidate that wants reparations for black people just out of sheer spite.

It makes it hard for us because no candidate is gonna win just off the strength of the black vote alone, so we'll have to compromise a bit.
