That's because Bungie came out and said Microsoft forced their hand.

Here there's no need for that because the game runs perfectly fine at 1080P/60fps online and offline on the PS4 so what would Sony be sacrificing exactly?

A game that has imperceptible half second dips 1% of the time during the campaign is hardly discussion worthy. This is nowhere near an issue at all that you're making it out to be.

If the game was constantly dipping to 30fps then that would be an issue but that's not what's happening here. It's just another hyperbolic and inflammatory thread created by you.

At the end of the day, the PS4 version is better. They are talking about a minor drop FPS drop on the first level while the MP is locked. Xbox can't even get to 1080p and stay there. Then they have to use marketing works like, "Dynamic" 1080p. Microsoft put a battery in this magazine's back to make it seem like the Xbox version is better. A patch could fix the minor dip and that is that.

Yes it would. Plenty of devs are able to make 30fps very smooth and responsive.

1080p 60fps is marketing point blank period. That's not to say that it isn't the right choice for some games. But the idea that its what all games "should" be is asinine.

The fans have never played cod at 30.

The fans like the fast smooth gameplay. That can be achieved at 30. 60 was the standard and fans think that's why the game feels the way it does, it is part of it, but its also just a fast paced game. If they dropped it to a smooth 30 without telling anyone I don't think the "fans"' will notice.

Cod is just a faster game regardless of framerate. Even with halo at 60fps in the MCC, it still will feel slower than cod.
