Tried training mode first because I thought it was going to guide me thru all the controls but all it's useful for is for you to practice what you already know. I didn't know how to do anything, so didn't seem like a particularly useful feature. I was Googling how to do stuff.
So I just played two exhibition matches. Beat John Silver easily in a 4-star match then in a 3.5 star match I beat Best Friends using Lucha Bros.

I went through the story mode a little bit but I didn't really care for it, much like the 2K story modes it's all whatever...
If you don't have friends to play against, then I would recommend you don't buy this game. You need friends. Luckily, I have friends and cousins.

I don't know what CAW customizations there are from gear and physical appearance that are unlockable, but good lord there is a staggeringly bare selection out of the box. From that standpoint the CAW stuff feels more like one of those free to play mobile games....and five hairstyles!
But god damn there is a shyt load of moves to select from.

Not gon hold you. the gameplay is fun but I definitely have nobody to play this shyt with, pause. I can’t really see myself doing much more than what I have already with this

There are more styles of superkicks to choose from out of the box than hairstyles
Lack of creation options is my main beef, but I'm having fun I haven't had in a minute.
Not a full price game, but hopefully it will be more of an investment than a purchase with updates.

I didn't buy the game yet (I'm waiting until it hits the 4 for $20 bin at GameStop), but I have a question. If the game isn't profitable, or doesn't sell well, do you think that most of the planned updates will get scrapped?
I'm a wrestling game fan, so I'll still probably buy at a discount; but I'm curious as to how complete of a game I'll get.

As all things Tony Khan goes, it depends on him. He's invested a lot of money. He'd probably invest more. But he did say if it's not profitable then they probably won't make another game.
I think the updates will come either way.
