I tried to get into Luther and Top Boy years ago, but I just couldn't get past those accents.I gave up on True Blood after that Vampire/Werewolf warmost sorriest display of werewolves I've seen in my life.
As for Shameless a big part of me preferred the BBC british versionthat, Doctor Who, Luther, Top Boy, Skins, The Inbetweeners and etc were keeping me very entertained
No disrespect to the bruvs, though.

If you can get past the accents the shows are awesome. I also love the fact that they don't believe in filler episodes. A typical season of a BBC show is usually between 4-6 episodes... maybe 10 at most. Unlike american shows where a typical season is 14-24 episodes
ain't got time for that... at least Dexter each season was only 12 episodes each.
