No, of course not. What a silly idea to ask in the English language. The delusion of grandeur is staggering, to be honest. In my opinion, the most influential culture lies somewhere between the British, Ancient Egypt/Cush by way of the Greco-Romans, or American. The Germans probably deserve a mention too, but I won't be speaking for them.

Britain has produced an inordinate amount of scientists, inventions, philosophers, and influenced the way most humans speak and interact. The disparate philosophies of this small island has found a home in many prevailing ideologies and even spurred America to great heights. The fact English is still the most widely spoken language is the least of it.

Edit: Silly of me, I forgot the Chinese and Malians (blues, the kora, gold, etc)....oh, and the dastardly French, and the Benin/Edo people, and the Arabs, the Persians. Basically, one shouldn't have to think too hard to debunk the OP's question.

Bit disingenuous breh. It's 3rd by native speakers. China has a large portion of the human race. So Sure maybe Mandarin has more native speakers. But people in China, Nigeria, India , Brazil, France, Germany etc. learn and can speak at least some English as their 2nd language. Mandarin isn't even on most people's mind around the world as something learning after their native language. That's always English. British Empire established a language for world trade. Then after WW2 the U.S became the super power (cause of sheer land size and population, if it had Canada's population it likely wouldn't be that way.) - and took advantage of what the language the British left the world. It didn't need to change anything, just followed the communication blue print that was left. This, yes, has helped the English language reign.
