They don't here you though. All of it is right out of the Blues, which is from the Sahel. Blues, Rock and Roll, Country, Rap, Jazz, all of it. Right from the source.

yup. Put a new instrument infornt of a Black person and they will tap into their ancestral roots and create something new. I think people are misunderstanding the thread. The innovations of blacks globally are inherently Black and a result of their experiences in the areas they were at the time of creating something.

Look at things like Soukous how Congolese were able to master the newer art forms created by their cousins in Latin America and then take that and make something new. If anything this is stuff to be proud of, but that doesn't fit the narratives some people are trying to push.

aframs are genetically pred african

culturally they start at an african base but are a NEW WORLD FUSION that is distinct from both continental-old world africa and old world europe but leans more to the african base. The european influence in Aframs is mainly Anglo-Celtic (British Isles)

Find me native British Isles music (Anglo-Celtic) that sounds anything similar to Blues music/vocal techniques. I can easily find stuff from Africa with a similar vibe

this is what white american music sounded like w/o aframs

now find me something from the british isles that sounds anything like this?

aframs do though:mjgrin:

Don't forget about hbcu bands bro

All the DRUMS from black music (which has become modern POP music) is from Africa, European barely used drums/percussion centuries ago.

drums existed everywhere....it's how these drums were setup and played was the difference. The modern drumset is an afram creation due to african syncopation base, meeting euro military drumming traditions

Wonderful for African people.

Most Black Americans didn't know what Africans were doing in the 1900's -- especially on a large scale to influence our entertainment.

So I am guessing it's in our DNA --- Due to our ancestors being from Africa -- we are going to have some.. well many.... similarities.

But, did they [Africans] create it in the States -- NAH.
:leostare:

That was excellent circumnavigation of the point at hand. Cross cultural influence exists. The coli only wants it to flow one way though as Africans haven't apparently been relevant in a long time :skip:

Then White people running around claiming that Country Music and Folk Music are from the Highlands of Scotland. Then later on those same White people find out that the Banjo is from Africa and the slaves were playing Country Music on the plantations. It really burns their souls to find out that their biggest Country/Blue Grass stars learned their crafts from Black Blues musicians.

How did you come to this conclusion, And where do you live?

Also, even though you feel this way about AA, you insist on posting on this forum, instead of just going to niaraland where you wouldn't have to be bothered with us. It's the most backward shyt I've ever seen.
I damn sure as he'll ain't spending time on no forum filled with cacs or people I feel a certain type of way about, I'll just leave.

And I only see this directed at AAs even though us diasporians share similar cultures (i can only personaly speak for Jamaicans, AAs, Bahamians, and Ricans) and in some cases histories. Some foreign on the internet make it seem like West indians didnt go threw the same shyt AA did. They'll try disassociate people like the Gullah Geeche from AA, but act like every Jamaican is a Maroon

:heh:

Refuting the myth that Black American music/culture is "Europeanized".

@Diasporan Royalty @IllmaticDelta and @Supper destroyed this myth in a single thread which I linked to you before but you either didn't read it or you're just choosing to be a hard ass.
It’s part of ol boy’s schtick at this point, it’s trolling, ain’t no point in even engaging. The info is out there, he knows what it is.
