i was just about to post this shyt

it’s a fukking damn shame how some posters on here are acting toward killa cam …
as a old head born & raised in nyc , cam is 100% right - Africans didn’t fukk with us like that

:yeshrug: i dunno what’s the problem with what he said

There is a youtube video I saw on thecoli here.

It was in black and white.
Talked about the black people from the south who moved to los angeles

And the black people who were already in los angeles spoke of them BADLY
It was shameful

I heard those stories happened in ny also
Wherein those who were here and established, looked down on , and clowned the recent arrivals of BLACK PEOPLE from the south.

Wish I could find the video. It was about southern folks moving to los angeles.

Do you know the horror stories many BLACK folks who left the south had, when they came up north?

Do you know the things that were said about them by other BLACK folks?
The things their kids went through?

Is it similar to any new immigrant group?

Such as right now their kids are running around in the city as any other blk american kids

:what:

what the hell are you talking about

black southerners were met with the highest gratitude from it’s northern kinfolk

Are you sure about that?

When those from the south went to harlem or los angeles, they were welcomed by other blk people with open arms?

Their accents were not made fun of?
Their clothes were not made fun of?
Their down south country ways were not made fun of?

Did you see the video of the los angels black people talking bad about the new comers from the south?
It was on the coli

Lie
I just cannot recall where I read it.
Yet I specifically remember the issues in Harlem.
Cause that was one of the places a lot of the folks from down south moved to.

Why you gotta lie?

It is just an immigrant story. If you move to New Jersey right now, you gotta get used to their ways.
The way they drive, the times they close stores, the politics of the area etc etc ec

It is simply an immigrant story.

Even the italians, irish, jews etc did the same thing to new arrivals of their own kind.

I don’t know what fukking book you read that told you that nonsense, but I can tell you I got the information firsthand from my grandmother and great aunts and uncles, which were her brothers and sisters have told me numerous stories when i was a youngin about that whole Harlem renaissance era, which tons of southern black folks came to the north, and basically help create that whole entire era in Harlem … with them bringing the way they dance the way they sing the way they play instruments, etc. etc. in addition a lot of those Southerners reconnected with lost family members when they got up here

You admit that they were discriminated against by black people on the west coast

Yet for some reason, they were treated completely opposite in Harlem?

HARLEM?
HARLEM?
HARLEM?

The most vain and proud set of folks on planet earth
Harlem?
Who even during Harlem Renaissance period were about style and fashion
Harlem?
With its night clubs and party scene?

Southerners just arrived in Harlem and were treated wonderfully?
Yet were viewed as country by many on the west coast?

You joking
