@Billy Ocean
ok Billy
u clearly don’t understand because you’re Guyanese, a.k.a. non ADOS/FBA … so I’ll try to explain this to you as remedial as i can
Back in the days, there was a small portion of blacks that had nuances of selective groups some would say programs like ‘Jack and Jill‘ or ‘Boule’ ; which pretty much revolved itself around being uppity, bougie, wealthy , colorism & educational etc. etc. ; and = yes, it’s unfortunate that those individuals heavily discriminated against their own peoples … those were the individuals in California which didn’t want to see black southerners move into their community (and for the record, these selective groups were very very small in numbers)
so to get back to your ridiculous statement …. these type of people would never ever ever live in New York City especially a section like Harlem
Someone is misleading you, thought you were smarter than that.
Fact is though, those groups existed even more strongly in Harlem.
Dubois, Garvey, and a host of others were all into that.
They exist right now.
No sir, they were not only those types.
Those types could use the new arrivals for job purposes.
I am referring to the regular normal person who is concerned about jobs etc
Many from the South came to work, not to party or have fun.
I am seriously shocked you know little of these orgs and people
HARLEM WAS THEIR HEADQUARTERS
Still is in many ways. It was the capital of black thought.
Seems you know little of those things
