As a kid I enjoyed the fukk out of playing soccer, but watching it always bored me to tears. :yeshrug: Low scoring borefests for the most part and the top teams are all overpowered making it for uninteresting competition most of the time. The only time I mess with soccer is during the late rounds of the World Cup.

Y’all kill me with this tie shyt or hating low scores. If football didn’t randomly make a touchdown 6 points, add an extra 1-2 point to it in the form of a extra point kick or two point conversion, and create a participation trophy way to score in the field goal, y’all nikkas would be watching 120 mins of commercials and 20 mins of the ball in movement for 2-3 scores as well :dead:

yeah this is true as well.
21-14 is what, 3-2. We saw that today.

All I see is a me sized dude kicking a ball while out running other me sized dudes.
shyt isn't exciting to the naked eye and doesn't happen that often.
Not amazed as a viewer :unimpressed:
THe hard fact for soccer followers to swallow is that anything "amazing" is so infrequent that it comes off as sheer luck when it does happen...

whereas with basketball for example...someone like Steph Curry hitting 5-10 30ft 3 pointers in a single game...looks and comes off as a talent/skill because it's done in repetition.

It's sort of like a basketball half time show...where someone in the audience hits a half court shot....now most of us couldn't hit that shot...but if we shot enough of them, atleast one is most likely to drop in....that's how soccer comes off in terms of skill. When someone scores it just looks/comes off as luck and that anyone else would have just as much chance

I respect the difficulty of soccer, im just not interested in spending 90 minutes watching something where a 1-1 tie is an acceptable outcome.
in futbol the whole season matters. Its not useless like majority of american sports those ties can be difference between winning he league, stayin in the league or being relegated

Pretty much. In fact, you hate what you don’t understand. Americans think soccer is boring . The rest of the world thinks American football is boring and a subpar sport.

Yep this is true for any sport. When you look into the technical aspects of each sport, you grow to appreciate it more and know that not everybody can do what they are doing. I never was a fan of boxing until like years ago when I learned of the work these guys put in and the different stances/ fighting techniques/ defense. Makes you appreciate it more.

Idk what a kick up is but I can guarantee it doesn't have the amazement factor on TV of a nikka doing this
giphy.webp

Cause no matter how hard anyone practices majority of the people watching can look at this and say ill never in my life be able to do this.
Amazament factor.
