You win you get paid more everybody guaped up these days no one cares about that in the end all that matters is rings...No one even talks about how Duncan has made over 200 mil in his career which is plenty of money his legacy is built through rings.

Now football get ya money the shelf life is too short
Money should be your first priority so your son is set as well. I would buy land and guns and build a compound.

Bunch of obtuse kids in here, I swear :heh:

The question is not "would you prefer to be a bum on the street or filthy rich?", it's more like "would you rather get paid $10MM/year and play for a championship annually or take the next contract offered to you for $15MM but be on a bum team where you'll definitely never win a ring in your career"?

:mjlol: that chump change

you know that a vet minimum in the NBA is only double that, right?

that's why tyson chandler, at age 32, ain't thinking about "one more good run" being a defensive anchor for a team that needs one more piece to get over the top - dude took 32 million to play for the ph:flabbynsick:nix suns. he won't even be able to walk two years into that deal :bryan:
He has a ring so he is Gucci.

Money. As long as you're smart with it. I've seen 30 For 30 Broke and read enough stories about athletes selling their past glory. As athletes say when they get traded or released, it's a business. And making sure you get your money should be your #1 business.

It's funny how the older I get, the more that answer slides to the money :russ:

Being young, you like "Them rings, them accolades!" :gladbron:

Now it's like "fukk them expectations, just keep my accounts fed" :blessed:

shyt, even MJ had bum ass deals in Chicago until ther very very end when they were giving him those $30mil, 1 year deals. Insane that the best player who brought in rings was making the lions share of his bread from endorsements. He's one of the very few cases where the money came along with the rings but it was dependent on whoever was negotiating his deals off of the court
