I'm rolling with iverson. Seriously, outside of him playing with bums for the majority of his career, dude shoulda had a ring. Kobes nice dont get me wrong, but he's always benefited from a squad, not to mention shaq... dudes dominance was just discusting

Ivo had everything, handles, assist, shot, unselfishness... if he was in kobe position he woulda benefited crazy

Kobe was always better then Iverson. He literally does EVERYTHING better except for handles and AI carried all the time.

Iverson benefited from playing in a trash Eastern conference

And how was AI the best player in the league? All he did was take the most shots?(and brick most of them)

He shot 38% in the 01' playoffs

It was clear by the end of the Conference playoffs who the best guard In the League was and that was Kobe Bryant

You couldn't find a bigger AI fan back in the day. A guy his size doing what he did was and still is however we gotta be real here. Dude was an inefficient chucker who really didn't give you much defensively outside of a few steals from gambling in passing lanes. He had handles and could certainly pass his ass off when he felt like it but he preferred chucking. The game is about more than highlights and big point totals. It's about efficiency and working well within the team concept and making others better and contributing at both ends. AI never did that. He demonstrated that he was pretty much useless if he wasn't dominating the ball and chucking. Once he lost a step it was . AI is still my guy but you wanna compare him to Kobe in 2012?

The 01' team won mainly because of

A. The historically watered down Eastern conference
B. Their GREAT Defense(DRtg 98.9)

The Sixers learned early that the best team to put around Iverson was a team full of defensive role players that didn't mind AI dominating the ball and shooting 40 times a game. That was the key to winning with him.

Once the Defense fell off in the coming years, The Sixers were never as successful(plus the east not sucking as much)

Iverson has more scoring titles, because he shot a lot. For most of his career he was a 39% shooter. He was never a better scorer than Kobe.
