Is there any reason a thread of two goats needs to be made only to drag down one and prop up the other? Styles has been my favorite wrestler since 2004, and it's very clear that if it weren't for Bryan's (AND CM Punk's) success, Styles (and other Indy dudes) wouldn't be influxing in like they have. Styles, Bryan, and Punk are the trifecta of well rounded indy dudes. Had Styles came to the WWE in 2011 or 2012, a whole bunch of y'all would have been shytting on him just like some of the CWs, cause at that time he was still fairly into generic baby face Styles. He's the most well rounded wrestler today, but no need to poop on Bryan just cause you have only been watching Styles in NJPW through YouTube highlights.

Except Bryan was carrying all names on his back in 2013 in more matches and more opponent types. That's how u get to U DESERVE IT after a company pushes Batista, Blandy, Sheamus, and Big Show over u.

Styles was always seen as a spot worker during his most popular times..only now are people saying he's complete....simply because he's in the E.

And everyone was bashing the AJ/Ambrose story. This entire board.

Now you're just making up sh_t. I've seen nobody say those things. If anything when I didn't know who AJ Styles was, all I heard was how great he is and how he's the best in the world. I rarely if not heard of a criticism about AJ. The only criticism I've heard was that his mic skills could use some improvement, but he's been showing out thus far on the mic and can handle his own.

Dude was always considered one of if not the best in the industry, only knock on him was his mic skills which we clearly can now see that he has

Dude was getting 5 star matches and top 3 PWI wrestler of the year rankings like every year
He was called one of the best but people didn't clearly want to rank him over Angle or Joe in TNA either. People clowned his mic skills all the time. That happened on this forum and the old one all the time.

Only 5 star match Styles was seen in by all accounts was the triple threat with Daniels and Joe. He wasn't not on 05 Eddie run or any point. And if he was, the Net was ultra silent about it and wanted to talk about streak matches with Edge, Batista, and Cena garbage all the time.

He's great now but he wasn't ever seen as universally the best like Danielson was when CM Punk was even going hot, who is the guy the Net marks out for the most.

You're lying. Everyone waa shutting hard on the Ellsworth story. There are threads...weekly threads that are undeniable on this.

Nobody was saying AJ waa the absolute best in no damn 2011 and 2012. Lol. Damn sure not in 2013 or 2014. Only after key guys were gone and he came out to consistently good reactions on national tv...that's when people wanted to magically give him props.

I'm not throwing dirt on anyone..because most of the names propped up on this board ate people I brought to this places attention. No one knew about no damn Kana until I said so. Amazing Kong? Nope. People were marks for Edge over Punk until I brought up the ROH mic work. Nyggas were being gay for Shawn Michaels and DX garbage every single week.

Styles was not given no damn props on that level back then. He was called the face of TNA basically and that was it. They made fun of that baby mama story shut all the time...that was about it.

Bryan was one of the best - anything said otherwise is agenda driven bollocks. He was the most over guy in the company and put on great matches regularly even when he was doing stupid shyt like Team Hell No (which was still entertaining). It is a shame it coincided with his physical decline but the revisionism of how good he was is fukking ridiculous and people are only doing it because they have a problem with his "fans".

Saying that, I think it can be definitely be argued that AJ is at the very least on a par with Bryan's brilliance, and is putting on a series of really fantastic matches that Bryan himself will be proud of. AJ has never been as over as Bryan was in 2013 for WWE, but there's definitely still time for that and so far, his run is potentially going to be better than Bryan's run.

Who is better in the ring is a boring discussion imo, both are at the elite level (all time) and the levels of nitpicking needed to put one over the other is :manny: at least for a thread like this one.

What are we basing AJ's drawing skills as champ? I honestly have no clue how house shows have been doing with him on top. That and merchandising is the only comparisons we can make between him and AJ, considering PPV numbers are useless in this Era and thar ratings don't say anything about drawing money.

Having said that, I wouldn't be shocked if AJ is a bigger draw. Bryan was way more over but that never really translated to legit drawing power (for a bunch of reasons).

ps: If this tunrs into another "DB lost 500 million dollars" troll job... :dead:
