Pretty much.

AJ has always had that "It" factor that made him stand out and drew fans to him. Also AJ's is just a guy that is going to have WAAAAY more merchandise.

The Phenomenal AJ Styles

Daniel Bryan

One sounds like a guy you have to see to believe, the other sounds like some random dude working at Starbucks.

So you're comparing them based off their kayfabe names :mjlol:

As a person who has been a big fan of his since pretty much his whole career, this isn't true. His greatest character has been towards the his TNA run to right now. Character was the very last thing people were giving props to Styles for his whole career. Even when he came to the WWE, people were hesitant about his mic skills, but now it's no question that he's off the charts both in the ring and in promos. What drew fans to Styles was his WRESTLING. Other than that, people had him pegged as a great wrestler who couldn't talk well enough.

nikkas got brazy revisionist history on AJ. He's always been a great worker but he didn't put it all together like he has now until the last couple years

There's very few people who can match :styles: in the ring... not just working currently I mean all time. He's that great. When he retires he'll probably be top 5 DOA.

But the thing that's been a revelation since leaving TNA is his work on the mic. That has put him over the top. He's the most well rounded performer in the WWE and I felt they should just run with him as champion. He is cheered as a heel anyway, maybe they'll let him go on another run after a face turn. :ehh:

I love both.

Arguments can be made for both on
almost everything that makes a wrestler great.

One thing is NOT up for debate though.

Aj styles is a much better champion than bryan. Healthy or not.

I never said AJ was a great talker, I said he's been better than Bryan throughout their careers. In terms of "It" factor, that's not about being good no the mic. It's just an intangible that some guys naturally have. Jeff Hardy has never been great on the mic, but he's always had that thing that made fans gravitate towards him.

I'd actually say AJ has been hurt by being a heel. AJ has always (IMO) been a more natural face, his face promos come across as more genuine.

And yes, AJ has more natural charisma. The knock on Bryan for the vast majority of his career was that he lacked charisma and it was the thing he had to work on the most during his time in WWE. Even by his own admission he needed that time doing those skits with Kane to bring that out of him.

AJ's charisma has never been questioned. Also you can't say AJ will NEVER be as over as Bryan because he's only been in WWE for little over a year and you also can't see into the damn future. Nobody in a million years would have guessed Daniel Bryan would have gotten over more than CM Punk, and Punk had more natural charisma than Bryan and AJ.

Bryan got over because of his amazing in ring work and he started to develop as a character more and more, it definitely took time for him to get there. AJ hasn't even had a meaningful face run in WWE yet, so lets not act as if he's even come close to hitting his ceiling in WWE yet.

Again, neither one of these are true. Throughout TNA, AJ had some of the worst most cringe-worthy face promos you could imagine. Before he started the lone wolf/96 Sting stuff, his best promo work had been the goofy comedic stuff he was doing as part of the Christian Coalition, and even that was pretty meh. And in Fortune, he was brutal trying to portray a mini-Flair, which more has to do with booking, cause that simply wasn't Styles' natural personality. His mic skills has always been an achillies heel, so it's great that the promos you see from him now are world's better than anything he's done before. Even though he hasn't been a heel for that long, his heel promos are better than anything he's ever done as a face. Even early on as a face, Daniel Bryan could get his point across far better than AJ as a face, but both shined as heels.

No Mercy 2016 drawing more then WM30 is coli math if there ever was. Daniel Bryan is God to so called neckbeards. When he's back wrestling next year, compare those shows to them TNA shows AJ did. Do that

You seem to be conflating Charisma and mic work when those are NOT the same thing....Like I said before, Jeff Hardy has NEVER been known for great promos, but he's always been regarded as one of the most charismatic wrestlers ever.

I never said AJ is a great talker or even that he's always been a good talker. I said he's always been a better talker than BRYAN. Their mic work was always seen as a weakness for both of them, but AJ was always better than BRYAN. Seriously go back and look at my posts, nowhere do I say that AJ is some great promo guy, I said that through the years he's been better than Bryan.

As for AJ mic work as a heel vs his work as a face I'm sticking to what I said before, IMO, AJ is a more natural face and his face promos come across as more genuine.

In ring he has

I don't think so...

AJ has improved significantly in the ring over the past several years. Even by his own admission he's a better worker now than he was earlier in his career. Daniel Bryan has always been a wrestling savant when it came to ring work, while AJ had potential but it took him time to really learn the value of selling and mastering ring psychology.

AJ started to evolve and become a better worker through his matches with Joe, Angle, and Sting. There's a clear difference in his in ring style and psychology before and after he worked with those guys I mentioned. AJ then took his work to another level after he left TNA and started working in Japan.
