I think it's a shoot; At least I hope it is! I always tend to defend TNA because they get some fair and a lot of unfair criticism.

People wanted Bishoff, Hulk, and Brooke gone- TNA complied
People wanted them to go on the road (said Impact Zone looked bush league)- TNA complied
And after that people made fun of TNA for the crowds they drew while on the road so, TNA went back to the Impact Zone
People wanted new compelling stars (EC3, Mangus, Rockstar Spud, and Sam Shaw)- TNA complied (or currently attempting)
TNA has been in existence for 12 years now and people have called for their demise for atleast 11 years yet they still have managed to stay afloat

However, if this is true this would be egregious on so many levels. to me AJ is to TNA what Shawn Micheals or Hulk Hogan are to the WWE. They'd be crazy to let him go.

I hope the WWE would want to pick up a talented worker with a somewhat devout following.

You said a lot of what I feel about TNA. Same thing with "change the ring" and "compete against Raw on Mondays."

In my mind, I want to think Dixie certainly didn't go through all of this and then let AJ walk...but they defy logic over and over again.

Loved AJ Stlyes back in the day but as TNA became more and more flabby so did he unfortunately. Don't get me wrong the dude is still decent and probably better than 70% of the current WWE roster but I'm not interested in seing him there at all to be honest. Sure we'd get some class matches from him but they wouldn't be half as good as what they would have been if he'd signed when he was in his prime.

they should sign aj styles to a short term RVD type contract with the option to renew him at some set price by a certain date...

give him 2 months, see if he gets any momentum going and then make a decision on whether to sign him long term

I have a hard time thinking of a role for him tho, I guess just put him in the ring see how the crowd reacts and build towards him winning the IC or US title, I definitely wouldn't just throw him in the main event off the start... A feud with Ambrose over the US title would be excellent. I do want to see Styles in a match against Punk, Bryan, Rollins, and Cena at some point in my life
