Hell fukking no. That's what I mean. We practically gave up on Al once we drafted Love. It wasn't intended to be that way, but McHale shoulda known it wasn't gonna work.

Nice try, but this actually predates Kahn. If anything Kahn knew immediately they were never gonna work. He wanted to trade Love instead, but Big Al became a drunk driver and shyt and there was no looking back after that.

Rubio over Curry is not that egregious to me, in hindsight it is, but not at the time and point.
Jonny Flynn on the other hand? Well that never made any fukking sense to me. What a horrible, franchise type crushing pick that turned out to be.

That core was never realistic. Those three would have never played a game together. Regardless of whether the want was there (it wasn't on Steph's part), what happened to Jonny coulda easily happened to Steph. Remember how frustrated Steph was playing under Keith Smart? Well put him in an offense that suits no one and in a position he doesn't wanna play on a team that doesn't defend. Sounds like a recipe for...

Curry didn't wanna be there in the first place (thus, the team never seriously considered him-- that's an ownership mandate since Marbury, but I could talk about that forever)
Curry insisted on PG. Regardless of whether he played well or not, after 2 years he was either moving to SG or benched.
Curry gets hurt a lot. After 2 years of ankle injuries, I think everyone woulda just lumped him in with literally every player that got hurt on the Wolves (McCants, Foye, Brewer, Love, even Big Al and as we found out, Flynn too all got hurt their 2nd year there-- that streak ended with Wes Johnson and I wish he had Shaun Livingston'd himself that year)
Lastly, there simply aren't enough defensive players that can cover for a team that is deficient defensively at the 2, 4, and 5.
Remember how nice of a guy Flynn was and how likeable he was? Well the offense was so disjointed under Kurt Rambis, Flynn was cursing him out during games. Big Al's this soft spoken dude, doesn't do nothing crazy, lunch pail attitude, even that guy drove drunk. The team had/s a habit ot taking real class act characters and making them turn into the most frustrated people alive. To this day it's happening (we're seeing it under a different regime and we're seeing it happen to Rubio of all people)

eh, people have convenient draft amnesia when it comes to certain guys.
alot of teams werent trying to deal with cousins' attitude & immaturity. i couldnt stand cousins a few years ago myself.

and why should Al be in over Noah? Are you not accounting for defense?
both are best players on their respective teams and the Bulls are better. Noah anchors one of the best defenses in the league, Al dont anchor anything on defense.

At one point, they had Al, Love, Pek stashed away and coulda had Cousins too.
That's not a good problem to have especially since not a single combination of the 4 fit well together. You'd get lowballed all over the place because everyone knows you can't keep any of them together.
