T.I. Paperwork had About The Money and No Mediocre. Still sold less than Trouble Man (which had no huge singles but still went Gold)

Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz could not have sold enough albums for how popular “Deja Vu” was, particularly considering they didn’t make any money from the actual song.

Yeah, that song was on the radio constantly, even in LA (which was impressive for an homage to the Bronx, but they did make a special LA version with an altered chorus, replacing Harlem, Brooklyn and Queens with Compton, South Central and maybe Long Beach, if I remember correctly).

Their album went aluminum.

Some of these albums sold well. The topic is big songs with low selling albums. Not just one hit wonders.

It’s not a hard thread to understand :pachaha:

P. DIDDY and Kellz - Satisfy You

The single was huge (despite being mid) but the album "only" went plat
Diddy came out of the huge Now Way Out and was mega star, so this was a failure

I was in high school when that song came out, you couldn't get away from it. If I remember right they did different remixes of it shouting out different cities, I think they even shouted out my city!
