I just don't know why good GMs don't call their bluff. Cutler isn't worth the money. Just sign someone else for less or draft someone. It isn't rebuilding. Its replacing.
Cuz in Cutler's case the HC loves him and convinces the GM that he can be fixed. Then what other options are there? Draft? Well, that GM will be out of a job by the time the draft pick becomes a legit starter. Wouldn't be surprised if GMs offered these deals knowing they were poor deals but did it anyways.
