I really hope Kirk goes to the Browns. :lolbron:
Acually, that wouldn't necessarily be a bad look for either side. CLE has the money he's looking for. They might not have a "core" (not even low-key ) , but there's some talent there. He'll have a deep threat in Gordon, if he can stay clean. And signing him frees them up from drafting a maybe at #1 or #4 and lets them focus on two potential instant impact guys (Saquon/Minkah/B. Chubb?).

You tell me what they were supposed to do? Cousins was already OUT THE DOOR. They were at odds since 2016 over the franchise tag. The Skinz justifiably were hesitant in giving him a long term big dollar deal BECAUSE Cousins only took them to the playoffs by default when they had a 7-9 record, that following season the missed the playoffs despite having a 9-7 record, and gave him one more chance and they had another 7-9 record. Cousins was taking them anywhere and they cannot keep franchising him and they damn sure not going to pay him that kind of money he's requesting for. They were in a bind. They had to trade him which they still haven't YET done. In the meantime, because either way Cousins was out the door, they have to get another QB. And who's out there that they can get AND save them money? Alex Smith makes perfect sense. 1st of all, the writing was on the wall when Reid drafted Mahomes. Smith been through this scenario before where he helps improve a team to a point then get pulled under the rug by the new younger talent. So he was out the door anyway. By playing for the Skinz, he wouldn't have to change much in his style of play because him and Cousins are quite similar. The difference is is the fact that Smith is more experienced, especially more experience when leading a team to the playoffs.

I do not see why not.
Breh, they both mediocre white qbs. Its a dead trade except washington lost draft picks. Washington LOST

No pressure...clean pocket he gets skidish for no reason. He takes unnecessary sacks but he's highly effective in the short passing game. That's all he is. This is all he'll ever be. This is what you're getting. He's been doing this shyt since he was drafted. Trust me. I've watched this dude since we drafted him 1st overall

And not only they're saving like 17 MILLION.... you getting rid of someone who has a habit of turning the ball over. Cousins had 13 INTS and 13 FUMBLES last season! Smith only had 5 INTS in the entire season including the playoffs. He made the pro-bowl. He's way more efficient. If you needing a QB what other options are out there? Wait to see what the Vikings are going to do?

Ahhh yes u do call alex smith and cousins mediocre. U cant be this stupid :dwillhuh:

Smith can put the Skinz in a way better position than Cousins ever would have. That's all I am saying. Again you cannot tell what that team supposed to do. What other QB was out that's available that can do better?

Smith cant and wont win shyt as your qb. Never has and never will. He'll take u as far as your defense and his check downs can take u.

Colin kap is better and available and u dont lose draft picks. Wtf u think washington is gonna do with tbat 17 mil they save for trading cousins? Draft and develop a good player? Yea because they are notorious for doing that :mjlol:

Or how about using FA? Do i have to remind u how great they are at that too?

Washington front office is stupid. Fact

As a Skins fan I am very happy about this deal

We offered Kirk 53mil and they turned it down
he held us hostage for tags which is 100% cap money we paid him 43mil over the last 2 years :francis:

He is about to get close to 30mil a year from someone, cleveland maybe?

I will take Alex Smith and his 14,5mil towards the cap any day of the week over that. Now we need some o-line men

You know NO TEAM is going to pick up Kaepernick so just immediately scratch as a remote option and lets be honest too, Kaepernick wasn't like the GOAT QB to begin with

.. so, try again WHO else is actively available?

Thank you, and if they're smart.... they can trade Cousins for some quality linemen too.

How are they trading him? They gotta franchise him and I'm going to assume they don't have the cap room
