If Kirk wants to win he will go to Jacksonville or Denver. If he wants to get paid and be a celebrity, he'll go to the Jets

No pressure...clean pocket he gets skidish for no reason. He takes unnecessary sacks but he's highly effective in the short passing game. That's all he is. This is all he'll ever be. This is what you're getting. He's been doing this shyt since he was drafted. Trust me. I've watched this dude since we drafted him 1st overall

How are they trading him? They gotta franchise him and I'm going to assume they don't have the cap room

If the Redskins wanted to play hardball with Cousins, they could franchise him in theory(they have around 50M in cap room, but to franchise Cousins 3 years in a row would be something like 34M)

Thank you, and if they're smart.... they can trade Cousins for some quality linemen too.

Can't trade cousins hes not under contract, but I am ok with just losing his contract, we saved 15m+ a year and Alex Smith is a good QB

I've never in my life seen a franchise mismanage their quarterback situation so badly

- give up 3 1sts to trade up for RG3
- waste RG3's historic rookie season by letting him fukk his knee up beyond repair
- fall ass backwards onto Kirk cousins, who turns out to actually be good and much better than anyone expected of him
- fail to sign cousins to an extension THREE TIMES
- damage relationship with Cousins and the team to the point of no return
- trade for QB that choked a playoff game away against the fukking Titans out of all teams

Yeah it doesn't get much worse than this

Bruce Allen had no parts of the RG3 situation and also RG3 was so toxic that the linemen stopped playing for him.

But because of the RG3 debacle they had to trade him to once again was an injury-prone bust and now out of the league entirely. The only people to blame are RG3 himself, the Shanahans, and Synder's favoritism.

The Cousins situation was something rather different but its root is indirectly due to the aftermath of RG3. Remember, RG3 was injured during preseason (mainly because, as stated earlier, the linemen stopped playing for him). So that was the season where Cousins got the starting position and despite the team having a mediocre season, they still made the playoffs EVEN THOUGH they were under .500. So now, they know they had to get rid of RG3, but what were they going to do with Cousins? They want to keep him, but they wasn't sure he's worth the long term deal. So they franchised him. The next season start. Cousins lead the team to a better win season of 9-7, however they didn't make the playoffs. So this time Cousins wants to get PAID. Bruce Allen offered dude 53M for the long-term, and Cousins refused it. This was when they started their public beef going back and forth and no agreement settled. So the team franchised him again.

The point is, Cousins BELIEVE he's worth that top QB money. The Redskins do not believe he's top tier, but doable enough. We weren't with paying Cousins that type of money he was asking, because at the end of the day, did he earn it? He got a pass the 1st starting season because they made the playoffs. But the last two season they did not. Both sides are dissatisfied.

But all of this is because of trying to risk it all for RG3 and RG3 ended up being an injury-prone bust and a toxic drama queen.

I thought they CAN still trade him and that team front the bill.
Yea they have to franchise him close to 30 mil. I don't know their cap situation but if they did have the space they should do it

Then fuk it they should

They should get at least a first back but the problem is they can only trade him to teams with massive amounts of cap space
