No we don't. There were reports from numerous people that we were going to draft manziel at 23 if he was there. The chiefs could franchise him the next 2 years and wouldn't have to pay him 18 mill per. He's lost his got damn mind if he thinks he should be paid that much when the team has to extend Houston & Berry's contracts.

The QB franchise tag is around $17 mil. I don't think the Chiefs will pay him anything over $15 though like you said. I think Reid is confident enough he could groom someone like Murray, take a shot at Mallet, or another rookie QB.

Doug Pederson, Kevin Kolb & Mike McMahon all had their best statistical production under Reid only to never be heard from again.

Vick and Smith aren't no name QB's but they still had their best production under Reid.
