Another thing with Ovechkin is that he has never shorted the game. He plays with full effort and tenacity. He doesn’t “load manage”. He goes out there every night and gives it his all.

For those that have never played hockey, taking and delivering the hits and contact has had throughout his career, it is not easy to withstand that for twenty years. He’s not a small player either. He is pretty much a Russian tank on skates.

I respect the comparison, but Emmitt peaked even higher than they did!! 4 rushing titles! Tied with Barry, OJ and ED for second most after Jim Brown. First RB to win a SB as a rushing champion and he did it 3 times!! He held the single season touchdown record at one point. Iconic games, too.
