Ali. Tyson struggled with tall fighters, and Mike has never fought anyone on Ali’s level. On the flip side, Ali has taken punches from hard punchers like Frazier, Foreman and Shavers and never got knocked out.

None of those dudes had the speed, power and defensive combination of a prime Tyson

Yep, he ain't got the chin nor the heart like Joe but faster feet, faster hands, better defense, more balanced punching power...similar fighting style that gave Ali problems with better technique..

:patrice:
I had to edit that. I sent it after I typed the name and my son was going crazy, I left out what I was going to say. Tyson had problems with a strong stiff jabs and Ali had the best in the biz.

uh...that clip is from a 1977 fight, Ali was born in 1942. Do the math, read the thread title, and come again.

The fukk I gotta do math for professor?

Someone posted that clip as an example of how Ali dealt with fast hands, if Ali had tried that shyt with Iron Mike, prime or not he would have been putting his life in jeopardy.

I'm the someone who posted the clip of 35 year old Ali toying with a fighter with legitimately fast hands, Michael Dokes

THAT'S why I asked you to do the math and re-read the title about Ali and Tyson facing off in their primes, and to come again.

Prime Tyson would knock that nikkas head off

Ali would be missing

uh, no...I didn't post a random gif and used that to compare to Tyson. Michael Dokes had quick reflexes and hand speed.

Why don't you tell me what this gif you posted has to do with Ali?

This looks like Ali's mind games working beforehand because he's wildly headhunting and could've ended all that with a body shot while Ali is on the ropes lounging.
Prime ali's speed and shyt talk would scare mike tyson tbh

Like a Prime Prime Ali ... that nikka would be moonwalking clean across that bytch

Mike would hit him with the lewd eat your children shyt

and Ali would be gliding, calling him a neanderthal
We never saw Prime Prime Ali. 67-70 is when his physical maturation and experience would've overlapped with his speed.

that sums up what I'm saying ... Ali was a beast in the beginning and a beast in the middle... we didnt see his true prime and he still came back a beast and fought till the end

Prime Tyson still doesnt have the put together and mental fortitude to mess with any era of Ali

Ali would be Prime and Mike would be Prime but all Mike is really bringing to the table is the rawest power and indirection ... the world knew he was a weirdo and his story
If Ali had time to tinker with his mind it would be over for him. I do think Mike could win one, but only at a 20% chance he catches him with a lucky shot. Prime Vs Prime it would be hard to catch a prepared Ali with a lucky shot but it could happen. Usually you would think it would be brutal for Ali, but if we are talking Prime Ali... he's dancing and he's strong... he wouldnt have to go into deep rounds like most of his fights. Punch out Mike Tyson is the perfect name for the fight because that's exactly what he would do. Mike would lose control and if he didnt catch him, it would be a wrap and he would be outmatched in there.

A good debate would be how Mike could actually win... he would have to trap him and delivery body shots. A good gameplan would be to calm mike and tell him to use his heaviest punches for the body ... slow Ali down and then kill after.... but the odds are still stacked because Ali would know this easily. Realistically it would be a disappointing fight because Ali would dance and try to buy as much time as he could. Probably literally running for his life for the first 2 rounds. But if anyone could do it, it would be him.

Ali lost to Frazier and was visibly exhausted in that fight. Frazier is not seeing Tyson. Tyson is not a slow lumber of a puncher like Forman. He’s a tornado coming at you full force for 3-4 rounds trying to disconnect your head from your neck. Ali fought speed and he fought power but never at the same time. People overrating Ali.
