Episode 1 & 2 was hard body. I definitely wanted more. The entire ship crash was crazy. I did want to see how things went bad before the crash but again I get they were focused more introducing the Wendy character since she will be essential. But the cast did a great job. Definitely fits right into the "Alien' world. Had some "Alien" and "Aliens" vibes but also the exterior shots of the Island had a little "Prometheus" vibe. Even some "Blade Runner" was in there. Overall I never knew what a "Alien" TV show would be like but they really put some dough behind this. Felt like a movie. The director and writer Noah also had success translating "Fargo" into a series so I shouldn't be shocked I guess.
But I don't think this will lead to a global Outbreak. They can keep it on the Island ala "Jurassic park" or in that City and have a small outbreak. But they did show the eggs for a reason. This was also a interesting way to show the corporate corruption of Wayland-Yutani. Also the fact they have competition helps with their motive and obsession with obtaining the Xeno. Speaking of the Xeno. This is the most violent one since "Alien 3" which came from a dog. But the entire exploration of the crash is "Alien" all day. Also they didn't overdo it with Xeno scenes which made it more suspenseful and focused on the other Alien specimens too. Murrow was a dope synthetic, he was going in in both episodes to get the cargo back.

The production value on this show is insane - have we seen a TV show with this level of production before in its first season? GOT had to work its way up to that
I’ve been a SUPER FAN of the ALIEN franchise since I first watched Aliens as a child. Since then, I’ve consumed as much Alien lore (minus the Dark Horse comics) that I could, including a series of novels centered around the Colonial Marines back in the 90s and THIS is exactly what I’ve been waiting to see since then… a Xenomorph on Earth along with other creatures and lifeforms.
What I loved:
-Morrow’s arms looking like HR Geiger art
-Different species of violent aliens on earth
-A technokinetic hybrid
-Competing evil corporations
-Lots of world building
-Yutani in the flesh
LOVING this show so far.
And if you don’t get why Tool’s music is being featured, do yourself a favor and dig into their catalog.
My white college roommate was a huge fan, so I became very familiar with their music and horror themed videos.

We trying.... we was just watching the first episode but I don't know brehs. Everything on the island was just meh to me from the acting to the dialogue. I wasn't really able to get into it. Browsing on my phone more than anything.
I liked the opening sequence though when they were in space and the end of the episode picked up some steam.
