I mean it never said one way or the other so it didn’t contradict anything.

We’ve never seen it speak even in a living host so it’s like like neurons or brain function matter

But I think the point of showing the crabs on Arthur’s body was to show the eye is like a crab finding a shell than a parasite
But earlier in the season they literally called the T Ocellus a Parasite. There was a whole write up of it on the computer screen also. The whole fear and terror of it is that it overrides your neurotrasmitters and makes you a prisoner in your own body to whatever it wants you to do. It's not a scary idea if you're dead before it jumps into you lol. There's nothing to hijack if you're already gone. That's dumb.

Can we just admit it was stupid writing? It's fine to like it, but let's be real. They needed the eye monster to get away in order to make a cliffhanger out of it, and had it jump into the dead guy Arthur, even though it makes zero sense that it would ever work like that. I actually wouldn't be as annoyed by it if they paid off the conversation they were teasing the last episodes. The T Ocellus should've jumped into a living host at some point during the finale.

EDIT: In the eyes of other living organisms is what it said literally in the show :dead: Here's a screen grab from the show.

Is it me or did yhe bullets bounce off the alien. How did a platoon take down 100s if one can take out multiple here.
Yeah this part was stupid. I've seen a lot of comments today on youtube about how "they didn't have the explosive tipped ammo" on Alien Earth like they did in Aliens...as if Vasquez and Gorman didn't kill aliens with their little hand guns in Aliens.

Vasquez blew this damn thing's head apart with 4 rounds from a pistol.

Hacking into the network is one thing, but she was just literally controlling everything on the island. Why would anyone put a child into a machine that had that level of god-like power without some kind of failsafe in place?

Also just realize that Wendy was doing her alien noises and stuff and somehow the alien could hear her when it wasn't even close by? Like, she was making alien noises from inside her prison cell, and the alien was outside and could hear her. That was super confusing.

hubris

figured they could control a "child"

I'm assuming she communicating with them using a frequency undectable by anyone but her. Frequency can travel long distances. Like with elephants for ex

Only watched it because I read Timothy Olyphant is great in it, as he is in pretty much everything. And he was. Rest of it was dumpster drippings though.
When your audience can't figure out who the actual bads vs goods are, and even if the finale was indeed the finale, it was not a good show. Won't watch whatever the rest of it is.

And science doesn’t find new information and change its opinion.

It’s a new never before seen species. We are only just now accepting more dinosaurs having feathers.

It also attacked a Xenomorph with no eyes. A living organism is best but that doesn’t preclude if necessary it will take a recently deceased corpse as a temporary host in a pinch for survival.

How does using a dead corpse to find a better host not make it scary. Again, all your info is based on what scientist think based on observation in a lab and not in its actual environment. The entire point of the show has been the test subjects aren’t what you think. Kirsch, the Lost Boys, and the aliens all did more than what we believed their defined roles and capabilities were by others.

What can I say? Shyt is silly:mjlol:

Now Xenomorphs are bulletproof:mjlol:

I've enough bad season finales over the years to see where these things go. This episode had "Season 2 is coming" written all over it. No real resolution, just episode cliffhanger setups. Again this type of shyt has become commonplace these days :francis:

I can make room for intentional stupidity among characters but the problem is the shyt becomes a crutch or excuse for bad writing when it oversteps it's bounds. And this show does a lot of overstepping. For Kavalier to be this mega genius that built his own robot dad as a child this nikka is pretty dumb:mjlol: But of course his stupidity doesn't get him killed because we need another season of his Jesse Eisenberg impersonation:snoop:

Kirsh:flabbynsick: nikka went from the coolest character in the show to a jobber just that fast. I ain't even mad at him losing the fight but it can't be off a slam on that weak ass table. This nikka made of action figure plastic?:childplease:

I'm actually not inherently mad at Wendy being able to control machines or talk to Xenos, but her and the Lost Boys is definitely shaping up to be some "the chosen girl that's the key to everything", YA novel bullshyt. I guess it's also gonna be a whole season of telling the prisoners why they're so greedy and mean and heartless. Because allegory ain't enough these days:mjlol::francis:

Yea this shyt is YA Alien without the typical YA fixation on sex:mjlol:
