My dad was African, born in Liberia but you need to know the history of Liberia first. His father was from North Carolina, he was heavily influenced by Marcus Garvey and decided to move over there and start a new life, then eventually came back. I don't make it a habit to share too much of personal life on here so I won't say too much. This division is crazy, how many generations are you willing to go back to prove you were descended from slaves in the US? I know for a fact that both sides of me are. I'm not going to try and prove myself any further. Do you consider your history beginning when white people gave you your name? You're more than that and I swear to you black people who were born in another country aren't your enemy. @HarlemHottie if you're really from Harlem I can't believe you grew up thinking that, that's wild to me.

It all sounds like the shyt Italians and Irish did coming over here. Stop falling for the online rhetoric, you're being bombarded with negative shyt constantly and it's distorting your view of the world.
I don't believe you. It is as simple as that. You made sure you differentiated yourself from us in those previous posts talking about being raised in an African family.

Marcus Garvey was a tether himself, so your fictional fba grandfather is still invalid here.

I don't see any of the usual suspects condemning such divisiveness on the Continent. Why are FBA/ADOS the only ones being accused of xenophobia?
:jbhmm:

Bianca calls for calm as Ghana protests spark fears of anti-Nigerian backlash

Look at how the South Africans treat their Nigerian breddas to the north:picard:

And we let these same people come and thrive in Houston, Atlanta, DC. But we're the xenophobic ethnicity of Blacks :heh:

As another man who has an African father, at some point you're probably going to have to show him you aren't with the fukk shyt anymore :russ:

You don't gotta beat his ass though.

African dads always on some shyt:mjlol:

I'm sure kid will do better next semester if he isn't kicked out. He's gonna have to check pops sooner or later because African dads will try to run that shyt until the day they drop :russ:

Yea, I dona't believe you at all. You only talk about your African experience, So again, I do not believe you at all.

It's an anonymous message board breh you're entitled to believe what you want. What I believe still stands, focus on the real enemy. I was raised just like every black family through the crack era, parents grew up and lived in the US before the Civil Rights Act. Guess what? So did a lot of Haitians, Jamaicans, Africans, and wherever else. Now in 2025 you saying some brehitos running across the border to cut grass and build shytty houses is the problem? Our people marched on Washington so we could sign to be ICE agents? To help push racist agendas? Look at history who has been the problem?

See, when you are willing to lie so much, how am I to consider you some sort of ally to my people? When you are ready to jump up for everyone else, but ignore the issues of my own ethnicity, how am I to consider you some ally?

You act as an enemy, yet you are trying to tell me whom I should consider an enemy, like Black Americans do not know we have many of them. We just know many like you only care about your own issues. Our issues are unimportant to you. That is perfectly fine and is to be expected. Just that many of us feel the same way. Our issues should be our primary concern, and your issues are unimportant to us.

Edit: So yes, I have no problem with the illegals being removed from the country. Just to make that clear.

New generation is cooked I swear to God.
I am 55 yeas old, and I know about the Marcus Garvey speech to White America.

"We have no animus against the white man. All that we have as a race desired is a place in the sun... If sixty million Anglo-Saxons can have a place in the sun,... if sixty million Japanese can have a place in the sun, if seven million Belgians can have a place in the sun, I cannot see why... four-hundred-million black folks cannot... If you believe that Africa should be one vast empire, controlled by the Negro, then arise...

I also remember this statement he made about one of our greats.

"I want you, the black peoples of the world, to know that W.E.B. Du Bois and that vicious Negro-hating organization known as the Association for the Advancement of "Colored" People are the greatest enemies the black people have in the world... .e warned... Don't allow them to fool you with fine sounding press releases, speeches and books; they are the vipers who have planned with others the extinction of the "black" race.

I also remember that he was not able to get his belief system up and going where he was from, but only here in the US. Last, I also know about the letter he wrote to the KKK inviting them to one of his UNIA convention.

Correspondence between Marcus Garvey and William Pickens , ca. July 1922

I suggest you use someone else as an example of whom we Black Americans should look up to.

I actually do believe him; still don't make no difference due to the bold..

:mjlol: I'm 44, an 81 baby. I watched Africans move into Harlem and cut us out economically, with the help of institutions, including the NYPD.

It was so flagrant, Tupac had to run down on one of these African vendors selling bootlegs of his shyt. Son didn't even recognize him, just stealing his IP, no fukks given.

The difference is fbas are willing to kill or die about this. History up to this very day supports this fact. Y’all have no smoke for cacs. They tell y’all you have to leave and all ya do is cry about it. You have no blood, sweat or tears into this country/fight against white supremacy.

Y’all left your roots/culture and sense of self to come here. You should be happy to go home. I don’t go anywhere I’m not welcome so I stay out of hose places. We don’t want folks that’ll just lay down here. Y’all not invested! Which means you don’t have the spirit for what’s occurring Go home and build up your people. The cookout is closed.

You come here and get some trinkets and a decent quality of life But are incapable of killing to defend it. Every clip you see of a cac getting washed is a Black American. Collectively y’all fear the white man and everyone in the world knows this. If your ethnicity didn’t vote 100% with us you can’t say shyt! The small minority of fbas who voted for this bs did so because they thought it meant more $. They too have been ostracized so gtfoh with that bs!

We ain’t the ones packing y’all up. But ya in here throwing stones. Fukk ya!

Sincerely, pawdalaw!
All I hear is a loser mad that the white man gives other people butter biscuits. All this posturing against immigrants doesn't defeat the white plutocratic elite.

I don't believe him at all, because of these posts:

Liberian dad, and it was a running joke between me and my brother to see how many times he would get security called on him when he was out with us.

It's a weird dynamic, they want you to live here but not act like you live here and be on some kids are supposed to be seen and not heard shyt. You almost have to check them to the point you hurt their feelings for them to realize their opinions on your life is secondary.

Your wedding is supposed to be one of the best days of your life, if his presence will taint it then he shouldn't be there. Maybe he'll get right for the next milestone.

My mom is Liberian and came here in her late teens. Growing up she listened to the same music every other old head black person listened to, whatever was on WBLS, I never paid too much attention. Anita Baker, Sade, etc.
The mom you said he is very quiet about. Oh, and Black Americans who went to Liberia called themselves a different name to seperate themselves from the natives there:

"Yes, Black Americans who migrated to Liberia, known as Americo-Liberians, often maintained a distinct cultural identity separate from the indigenous Liberian population. This separation was further reinforced by social and economic differences, creating a hierarchical society with Americo-Liberians holding political and social dominance."

No mention of his grandfather doing that at all.

Africans been selling bootleg shyt since forever, everyone runs down on them :russ:

You're about the same age as me and grew up in the same area.. Come on if you really grew up in that era Africans moving in wasn't destroying the community. Crack was killing people, friends died or just straight up disappeared. NYPD was was aiding any type of black people in the 80s? I know you don't believe that.

Is that what I said, tho? I said cutting us out economically.

Did you know that the livery cabs used to be FBA men home from Vietnam? (and were subsequently replaced by francophone Africans in a fleet of shiny, new cars) Or that they had licenses to sell socks and books on 125th st? (that Africans didn't have, yet they were the only ones getting merchandise seized) And that the Mart 125 was built under the guise of helping them, but quickly became African- dominated? Or that Giuliani, iirc, gave the Africans yet another spot of city land on 116th?

I keep saying it, pay attention to the world around you.
