My dad was African, born in Liberia but you need to know the history of Liberia first. His father was from North Carolina, he was heavily influenced by Marcus Garvey and decided to move over there and start a new life, then eventually came back. I don't make it a habit to share too much of personal life on here so I won't say too much. This division is crazy, how many generations are you willing to go back to prove you were descended from slaves in the US? I know for a fact that both sides of me are. I'm not going to try and prove myself any further. Do you consider your history beginning when white people gave you your name? You're more than that and I swear to you black people who were born in another country aren't your enemy.
@HarlemHottie if you're really from Harlem I can't believe you grew up thinking that, that's wild to me.
It all sounds like the shyt Italians and Irish did coming over here. Stop falling for the online rhetoric, you're being bombarded with negative shyt constantly and it's distorting your view of the world.
