A man with anything going for himself at all shouldn't date a single mom, especially one that's in her 20's or younger...

or that is financially unstable. This is coming from someone that has dated single mom's in the past. I try to learn from my mistakes and others.
Mistakes happen's, things change, and people break up. But just like most women have no problem passing on a man with a kid let alone multiple the same should be the norm for women. This isn't law and everyone's situation is different but over all most people that are single parents really don't need to be jumping into relationships with other people that either A ) have no parenting experience or B) aren't stable in life financially or mentally.
Being a parent is a selfless act. You get no special props for doing the right thing outside of hopefully watching your kids grow up right. So Male or female when your a single parent you gotta hold that L. There is nothing good about being a single parent, doesn't matter how or why you are one.
I love kids, love them. But going into a situation with kids especially toddlers or teens isn't plus. Your lying to yourself if you think its going to be viewed as anything positive, at most the man or woman won't care because they like you. But no person goes out looking for people with kids to date unless perhaps they are unable to have kids or something.
I advise all men and women to not do that, nothing against single parents obliviously.
Men date single mom's all the time though. Doesn't matter the race.
How many women do you know that date single fathers

Women aint dumb, "why would I date a single dad when I can get a man that has no kids."
Kids take priority over everything and if they don't then you already dun messed up.
