I don't think any one would argue with you about your assessment but as far as being an All Star? There's a lot more deserving players than him.
I agree. I would say he is deserving recently than Demar but Demar was much better before the trade than Kyle and is only slightly worse than Kyle afterward. I can't say I disagree with the coaches. The East wasn't really competitive ASG wise compared to the West. You got legit beasts who didn't make it.

I'm not denying Joe Johnson is a good player, overpaid though like you said. But Lowry was the best player on the team EVEN when Rudy was still here
He didn't play like it then regardless of his ability.

ATL…overly
Move well without the ball is an understatement. He sets excellent screens, elite at PnR, and PnP, cuts when lanes are open regardless of the playcall, runs the court extremely well, rarely misses an assignment offensively or defensively.

I think your idea of a superstar is shooting, scoring, beating ppl off the dribble, etc. That's an aspect of the game that matters without a question but Basketball is an impact game. Not just how many ways can you put the ball in the rim. On top of that Horford is better at man defense, superior at help defense, and superior on team defense. Once again, I don't see you point in this whatsoever. Not even half way.

Ehhh...I love Horford and love what Trillsap has done for us, but if I had to grade them, Horford is a B/B+ ceiling player & Millsap is a B-/solid B ceiling. I think what Millsap does/can do on offense is superior to what Al does on offense, Al's a better overall defender, but Sap's got more range and can guard a wing if need be, Horford isn't a strong 1 on 1 post defender, but can be very good in team assignment defense.

Superstars for me have to be great on one side of the ball with the ability to be good on the other or multiple facets. Al is good, but not great at any one thing that you would measure a superstar by.

I see Horford as grading out better than Millsap, but I could never honestly say Horford was leagues better than Millsap

Goran Dragic was supposed to be in the lottery. He has his team TEN GAMES over .500 in the West.

Also the only player beside Lebron to put up at least 19 pts, 6 assists and 49% shooting.

What a joke.
Forgot about Dragic, him and Bledsoe could of both been all stars this year with their play

Yeah, that's nice and all, but there's no way that clown should be in the all-star game with those pedestrian numbers. It's like the coaches didn't even look to see who deserved to be in the game. Somebody in the media said Joe Johnson should be in the game because of a hot 8 games, and every media outlet ran with it. These TNT idiots have so much influence.
It's not about Joe's numbers considering the offense he is in. No one gets a great deal of shots in Brooklyn. It's about his impact. His team is -7.0 worse with him off the court. He is a nightmare matchup wise this season. Most teams can't defend him without giving him extra attention which opens up things for the rest of the offense. He kills runs with critical shots. He seems to make a shot when your team needs it the most. It's not about buzzer beaters, these types of shots are what win playoffs series and games during the season. That's why coaches around the league love him and fans don't care for him because of less than impressive stats. Joe is one of the most underrated players of all time for this.

So Al's not an elite movement player, BBIQ, fundamentals, or runner for his position with good size for a PF when we use him out of position at center?

I don't agree breh. I don't see them being close overall. I seen things I like about Sap but I would never pay Sap more than what he's making now. I would give Horf a max deal and not think twice about it. The things he does for winning Basketball is unreal. He's no elite transcendent player like Duncan, MJ, Kobe, Durant or Lebron but he's as good as it gets for players who aren't those players. You can build a championship team around Al. You just have to right pieces which we don't, will likely never or ever have.

Sap is what he is. Good shooter for big. Good range. Good faceup game. Can take his man off the dribble. Tough minded player. Plays good team D. Avg man d. below avg rim protector, good scorer, aggressive, good BBIQ, moves well, good fundamentals, decent passer, and a hard worker. Nothing about his game is elite. Nothing about his game is even very good. He's just a good overall player. I would put him in the class of David West.
