ATL…overly
So Al's not an elite movement player, BBIQ, fundamentals, or runner for his position with good size for a PF when we use him out of position at center?

I don't agree breh. I don't see them being close overall. I seen things I like about Sap but I would never pay Sap more than what he's making now. I would give Horf a max deal and not think twice about it. The things he does for winning Basketball is unreal. He's no elite transcendent player like Duncan, MJ, Kobe, Durant or Lebron but he's as good as it gets for players who aren't those players. You can build a championship team around Al. You just have to right pieces which we don't, will likely never or ever have.

Sap is what he is. Good shooter for big. Good range. Good faceup game. Can take his man off the dribble. Tough minded player. Plays good team D. Avg man d. below avg rim protector, good scorer, aggressive, good BBIQ, moves well, good fundamentals, decent passer, and a hard worker. Nothing about his game is elite. Nothing about his game is even very good. He's just a good overall player. I would put him in the class of David West.

I think Al is a cornerstone type player, maybe not a max deal player as far as stats go, but his impact on team culture & winning basketball he is definitely a max level player. To me he's not "the" franchise guy, but he certainly one of the guys I would put pieces around to build a franchise.

You think Al is on the same level or better than Love or Blake?

I like Blake more than both Al and Love. Blake plays average defense can be unstoppable on offense as well as make others better. His issue is he is soft, doesn't impact the game offensively with CP3 which has killed his rep due to style differences, and he's not a two way player.

Love is one of my least favorite superstars without question. It used to be Melo till this year. Love doesn't make big shots, doesn't score when his team needs it, struggles at scoring easy baskets when he has a good low post repertoire better than both Griffin and Al combined, his defense is bad, and he can't score at will even though he is an excellent efficient scorer. He's like a suped up Christian Laettner without the "it" factor. With that said, you can build a contender with either player.

With Love I want

A scoring guard who can defend at PG (ideal: Jrue Holiday)
A shooter who plays good team defense (ideal: Kyle Korver)
A two way SF who is a good player (ideal: Danny Granger)
Love
A athletic defensive minded center who can shut down the paint defensively (ideal: Larry Sanders)

With Horf

A great playmaking passing with elite court vision PG (ideal: Ricky Rubio)
A very good scorer who can play off the ball (ideal: Kevin Martin)
A two way SF who is a good player (ideal: Danny Granger)
Horf
A good decent offensive big with great BBIQ and passing skills (ideal: Noah)

With Griffin

A defensive minded PG with the ability to get players the ball in their hotspots (Rondo)
A shooter (ideal: Korver but Redikk is great in this role)
A two way SF who is a good player (ideal: Danny Granger)
Griffin
DeAndre Jordan

I could contend with these squads we each player. Will I win it all. Probably not but I can contend. OKC seems to be a step above due to how good :youngsabo: is.

It's not about Joe's numbers considering the offense he is in. No one gets a great deal of shots in Brooklyn. It's about his impact. His team is -7.0 worse with him off the court. He is a nightmare matchup wise this season. Most teams can't defend him without giving him extra attention which opens up things for the rest of the offense. He kills runs with critical shots. He seems to make a shot when your team needs it the most. It's not about buzzer beaters, these types of shots are what win playoffs series and games during the season. That's why coaches around the league love him and fans don't care for him because of less than impressive stats. Joe is one of the most underrated players of all time for this.

Again, that's good but he does not deserve to be an all-star. What the hell don't you understand about that?
He's a 7 time all star with a hall of fame probability of 0.164%. He is not underrated. Please GTFOH with that bs.

Compared to who he's going up v. I would disagree. Don't give me statistical probability, I watched every game for Joe since 2005 in Atlanta and watch more than a handful with the Nets. His stats wouldn't impress stat-heads without question but players, coaches, executives, and scouts greatly value Joe.

:snoop: I love you breh but this statement is wrong in everyway possible. Like I said, this is becoming the new Joe Johnson-Jamal Crawford argument. I think that argument was closer than this argument. Joe was a very good player to Jamal who was a solid player. This is a stud compared to a good player.

I think they are both studs :manny:. Horfords has some strengths that Millsap doesn't have and vice-versa but they both top-tier PF's IMO

Joe Johnson is considered a bum by most people who really watch the nba. But I can see this dude is your idol, so I'm going to go ahead and put you on ignore now.

Have you seen Granger play in the last two seasons?

These would be playoff teams, not contenders
