I don't think I really understood how big of a deal this was as a kid, but the show All That was probably the only mainstream kid show I can think of that had R&B and hip hop artists performing. And these were major artists too. Everyone from Naughty By Nature to Jon B to Outkast. Even had a Tribe Called Quest on there once 
The show seemed to move more towards pop artists after the 5th season, but those early live performances were something special.
