I remember staying over my cousins house in seth boyden projects watching the cars do doughnuts back n forth. They gave zero fukks. I don't think it's as bad as it used to be. Newark in the 90's was too much. You don't see that many stolen cars in EO no more. I miss my old East Orange it looks like shyt now.

certain parts of eo look good but it still needs a lot of work done...the main problem is the gangs...that dth and southside beef got these youngins killing each other smh

cosign, I used to live down the hill (Grove/Springdale/Maple area) for majority of my life until I moved to Bloomfield 2 yrs ago. Kids out here shooting each other cus of the lamest shyt. I remember growing up Park Ave going towards newark and going up towards High Street straight across to the bloomfield area used to be the best part of east orange. Park Streets, Grove Street, North Maple, North Arlington, Renshaw, Rutledge..etc It's crazy the way it is now. I was driving up Grove going towards Irvington...that shyt looks bad.

I might move to Union. It's like if you want to live in a nice spot you gotta pay at least $1300 a month.

whats the most grimey street/area in Newark?

Don't think one part is the most grimey but if I had to guess it would be Central and West Wards.Poorest sections in the city.

once u get out of the downtown/prudential area it can get real very quick at night if u walking around.
- south orange ave between newark and east orange is pretty real.

had to walk all the way from downtown to up near branch brook park at like 3am
