Empire strikes back
yesPeople don't seem to understand the dynamics of the National Football League. They're in the business of entertaining and generating revenue.
So yes, when your biggest money maker is on the offensive side, and scoring points similar to a basketball game is entertaining to more consumers, then the rules will cater to that side of the ball. Is it fair? Not really, and the real football heads (those who played, coach) don't like it,
see thats the mindset of THEIR thinking. its bullshyt. it's the "you'll eat it up because there is no alternative" mindset.but its still football and we'll love it regardless.
how far is far enough though ? will we still love it when its touch football ?
resorting to hyperboles is stupid. when one does it, quality of the argument goes down by like 50%.nikkas really wanna return to the '40s though when it was a penalty to throw an incomplete pass, or the 80s where it was legal to shove a receiver all around the field up to 10 yards (and teams running the R&S/49ers were still putting up big numbers passing), and that's never gonna happen. So you can either stop crying and accept the direction football is going, or stop watching and stop supporting. It's that simple

what can I say ? Ive said before that Ive met more fans of NBA that are far more knowledgeable and passionate about the game itself than actual NFL fans who know what theyre talking about
