Arguing from the perception of planets stars dirt and mud kilometers and light years does nothing but reinforces @Napoleon position.
Because from that perception you can see nothing but the stones of the earth, the flesh and blood, and the science that discerns it of itself.
But the argument here is spirit. If you say there is no spirit then you are right, there is no God.
But if you acknowledge that there may be a spirit it has the possibility of opening your understanding of the same world and the same processes, from a different vantage point.
I have no problem with my profession. If I cared I would have another job. You however do which is why you brought it up. I just was pointing out how your religious ideals would probably keep you from having a logical conversation. My profession has nothing to do with whether God exist but I guess bringing it up is easier than actually arguing your point so I understand.
I believed what I do before I became a stripper so that point is null. Besides there are religions that would be perfectly okay with what I do and I don't follow them either. Again, a null point. Not to mentions the millions of people who claim religions yet live foul lives. But I guess, again, it is easier than just arguing your point. Whatever works.

Who is to say that the Earth, sun, star and so on do not have spirit? I believe in a ecosystem not a god being.
not really related to this thread but i cosign this part. the way i see it, the point of prayer is to focus your will towards a certain goal or state of mind. helps keep your mind open and aware to spot opportunities, helps with your discipline, helps you deal with success and failiure, etc. I believe there are numerous benefits to praying as long as you're not too attached to a specific outcome. What point are you making though? I already told you prayer was not for God but for the worshiper. But you deny God, perhaps that's why you don't understand that. God is praised literally every second of the day by someone, somewhere on Earth. Do you think these billions of people do it and don't feel it benefits them?
i tried to speak on this but i believe that besides the threats of violence, the family isn't right or wrong in excluding her. the bottom line is that it's their business. The story in the OP has very little to do with ontological concerns and I hoped against hope the thread might reflect that but of course it's the same hashed out bullshyt.
You people forget all too easily that the scope of religion goes far beyond impossible abstract questions in your head.
The extents to which identity, community, family, law, sexuality, can be defined by religious belief is truly profound. It would be nice if once in a while somebody (religious or otherwise) had something to say about the issue that went beyond the trite, mundane and obvious.

I don't recall any other points you made.
I brought up your profession because it is a shameful one, usually reserved for women with little to no morals and low self esteem. Maybe you don't fit that description, but a wise man once said watch the company you keep.
I could go into my usual line of questioning and ask you explain the origins of life but you just told me you have no problem being a skripper. Is that your life ambition or do you have other goals? Do you feel you're making the most of your life?
Do you want to talk about God or do you want to talk about me? I am quite interesting but I not trying to make this thread about me. If you want to know about me there are plenty of threads that are dedicated to me where I talk about myself. Just do a search. Again you bring up my profession but have to yet to say anything meaningful about your God. If you want to talk about that that's cool. I have no problem with you practicing whatever religion you like however if you are going to tell me my life and beliefs are wrong I would expect you to come up with something better than you don't like my job and prayer feels good.

Are you thankful to be a live or nah it's just whatever?
