The original concept is attributed to Friedrich Nietzsche and has nothing to do with race. It means the absolute pinnacle of human potential, a goal we should try to reach as a human race. This fits the "PC master race" perfectly because it's superior to consoles in virtually every way. "Next gen" consoles are basically gaming PCs from 4 years ago.
