Am I crazy for thinking gta 4 & 5 are trash?

GTA 4 has the best representation of NYC in a videogame....ever. But that shyt was mid outside of the main missions.

The Gay Tony DLC saved it

You’re on your own OP. GTA 4 was phenomenal and one of the best GTA’s of all time.

GTA 5 was really a let down from GTA 4 mission wise.

Technically both were great games. I remember playing Midnight Club LA with that new graphics engine that they had and was thinking how big time their next GTA's would look like.

I didn't like those eastern european vibes in GTA4 so I couldn't relate much to that game at all. Hated those stupid accents too. The DLC's were fun to play.

I think video game character wise San Andreas was the peak and we're not gonna get another game with that many cool characters. All the GTA after that had inconsistency in characters.

They tried with 3 characters at GTA5 and it looked interesting, but a lot of side characters were boring straight up.

At least at the time Rockstar didn't milk that out for over a decade.

If we are keeping it a buck, the gameplay in GTA 4 and 5 took a backseat compared to the Playstation 2 titles. I feel like Rockstar wanted to revisit those titles to improve the graphics. I wouldnt be surprised if gta 6 was disappointing as well. It looks great graphics wise but as far as gameplay, I dont expect a long fun story line like vice city had.

Could never get into GTA 4. Never even played 5. Last GTA I actually got deep into was Liberty City honestly.

I enjoyed them both, but doubt I would revisit either. Reason being, I had V once the PS4, like a sucker bought V once it hit the PS5 and the gameplay felt stale. Couldn’t get back off into it. Hoping VI will be good.
