How are y'all without credit, getting apartments, homes, and jobs???!?! My job ran my credit before hiring me, for my apartment also. shyt, even when you sign up for a cell phone contract!

Right. These dudes saying they only use cash are bums. They not traveling or staying in hotels. buying homes or even renting. Def not getting new cars. Credit is essential in this country
Anyone who says otherwise is just fooling themselves.

Credit cards are a godsend when used properly.

They're far more convenient than cash. They allow for better, automatic accounting. they're generally easier to use at the point of sale. And they give you rewards for using them.

I've NEVER paid a finance charge in my life. If you use it as an extension of your cash (i.e. Pay the balance off each month) you are golden. :win:

Using them as micro loans is :scusthov:

They got me when I turned 18, payed them off, NEVER AGAIN.

I got one at 18, too. shyt fukked me up at first cuz of how ignorant I was. You shouldn't be allowed to get one until 25 or demonstrate some form of financial responsibility, but CC companies don't care about that.

I got one, but RARELY use it. They keep sending me shyt, copping pleas for me to use it.

:childplease:

Shout out to my people in the Coli using utilizing them properly, tho.

I would think the majority of wealthy people use credit, but whether they actually NEED to is a different story.

Unless they want to walk around with a duffle bag full of cash like Floyd Mayweather, then they pretty much need to as well.

I also forgot to mention the purchase protection you get from credit cards :lawd:

credit cards are goat if you know what youre doing

i buy everything with my cards, get my rewards and pay most of it off before interest kicks in heavy

as long as you keep a small balance and allow them to charge a small interest fee, your credit rating skyrockets....revolving credit line

thank me later :jawalrus:

Good points right chea

I've been a victim of identity theft in my life. My SSN was stolen when I was 5 years old for some illegal to use, since my last name is Hispanic. The time it took to clear that mess up :snoop:

Now, I'm that nikka shredding EVERYTHING that comes in the mail. Nothing with my name coming in is going out intact.

My credit card got me nervous as fukk :to:

I wouldn't worry about id theft with regards to ya credit card. It's extremely easy to move on from unauthorized use of your account.

The problem with id theft is when they open up an account without you knowing....that shyt's ridiculously messy :sadcam:

I pay $5/month for a credit monitoring service thru citigroup...works well, I'm usually notified within 24 hours of someone checking my credit. :ehh:

Bank just tried to get me to sign up for one :childplease:

If i aint got the money to buy it, i dont need it

:what:u do know that no credit can be just as bad as bad credit right?? with no history u cant finance any big purchases ..... house, new car etc it can even affect you if you are trying to land a big position with a company when they require you to have good credit during background checks (cant have a person that cant handle money messing up the business on bad transactions with the there expenditures).

If your credit is good you get best perks lowest most attractive interest rates, therefor you can get a nicer house for same monthly payments as a dude in something not even close to what the person with good credit has.

Be smart about purchases and build credit
