I use mine everywhere, except bars. I get rewards on mine so why not? If i fill up with my debit card i get nothing. If i fill up with my rewards card i get 3% cash back.

Pay it at the end of each month.....i just never use my debit card.

i have one. i pay all my bills with it every month, then pay off the CC balance. been doing that for the 8 years. too bad the repos and forclosure of '09 came through and crushed the credit buildings....

You gotta know how to use a credit card and make it work for you. Discipline is the key. My debit card is in a drawer somewhere. I pay all my bills with my CC and pay it off before the finance charges can apply. I used to get back 5% cash back so I got back over $500 for things that I wouldn't have gotten anything back on using my debit card. My new card is going to get me a round trip first class flight by October.

Once again,you gotta have discipline. You can't be living a Yolo lifestyle with money that's not yours.

Gas, groceries, cable, cell, all of my regular stuff, on the CC, I'm going to be spending that anyway, so I might as well get some rewards for it.

Another financial rule I live by, is, unless its a necessity, if you can buy 2 of them you don't need it.

For example, I aint buying no video game for 50 dollars unless I got 100 in my pocket.

I know people who spent their last on shyt like that. These are the same dudes living check to check.

man I have never been broke broke. to me being broke is spending the "allowance" money I give myself in the budget and basically shutting down all purchases until the next pay day. technically I still have money, but if I have spent what I allocate to myself, then I consider myself broke for the time being unless some kinda emergency happens where u gotta spend some bread.
